Bitcoin is expected to go down this last and early this week still not just because of recent events, but also the fact that people are cashing out alot around the holidays. This as of yet seems nothing to worry about and I would HODL it for a long position. However, in a very short period of time, it is expected to go up with positive correlations. This is likely to be especially more true because of the holidays. For people who want to make a quick return, I would say HODL for a short. However, keeping BTC longer throughout 2018 can potentially expect some better profits too.
