XAUUSD Ride -- Long-term: Buy, Short-term: Sell

Fundamentally, it's more probable that XAUUSD will continue to rise up to R1 pivot line (@1290) in the daily chart considering the risk regarding North Korea. Setting up a buy stop with TP at R1 in the daily chart (R3 pivot line in the hourly chart), and SL a few pips below R1 pivot line in the hourly chart. In the short-run though, it's also possible that XAUUSD will consolidate between now and next week especially there's the upcoming USD CPI news on Friday which can help USD rally, and XAUUSD's weekly chart shows a ranging pattern.

I've experienced seeing a trade go according to plan and reversing overnight while I'm asleep a couple of times already especially when there's random political event that definitely isn't part of the economic news calendar, or the week is simply ending, hence the trade just wants to reverse a bit as usual.)
