@LeeShenyang, That's not the purpose or ripple. It's purpose is a frictionless instant transfer of wealth from two different currencies using a semi private gateway, but I agree it is an UFO in the crypto world. I use XRP all the time to transfer funds from exchanges because it is by far the fastest of all cryptos (for now). That alone makes it legit for me.
Think of it as the "hybrid car" of cryptos, banks being gasoline and cryptos being electric car. At some point everybody will switch, but for the meantime it serves its purpose and acts as an iron lance for the bulk of the population. BTC's Lightning will make things even more interesting, since it will be compatible with xrp's fiat gateways AND just as fast. Great era to be alive !
