Price Pattern Analysis is the core of trading. But price patterns often fails.

VRAI (Volume Risk Avoidance Indicator) shows Volume Pressure, so that you can avoid volume-based risks.

For example, never short when you see green (buying pressure). Never long when you see red (selling pressure).

You still need to pick good price patterns, because the crossover of volume pressure is not reliable.

Hi , thanks for this fantastic piece of work.

As crossover of volume is not reliable on its own, is it still a way to put alert on crossover just for monitoring ?

@ThunderBolt64, you're on the right track. This indicator is way faster than moving averages, thus won't be reliable by itself. You will need to combine with other indicators and timeframes, even correlated instruments, to be accurate. Good luck!
