I believe there is an issue somewhere causing the data and thus background colors (green or red) not to update properly in this script. The only fix I've found is to shut down and reload TradingView to view the indicator correctly. In other words, if you leave your TradingView desktop client or phone app running, you may be viewing misinformation. I'm not sure why this occurs, but I'll continue to reload TradingView data daily to ensure I'm getting accuracy in this indicator.

@manthur, I resaved the script with the following code appended to the bottom to create alerts. alertcondition(isADLDownTrend(), 'ADL Red', 'ADL changed to red.') alertcondition(isADLUpTrend(), 'ADL Green', 'ADL changed to green.')

Hello, I really liked this indicator , thank you for sharing , i have just one Question --How do i customise this to Indian stock exchanges -- i have 2 segments in mind only :
1) NSE: NIFTY 50
2) NSE : CNX 500
I was able to replace in line 12 but i am getting errors due to replacement in line 19, 20, 22 & 34
can you guide please

@northguleria, currently TradingView does not seem to be providing the Advance/Decline issues number for NSE (at least free of charge), so you cannot apply this script to NSE.
* for example, line 19 "ADVDEC.NQ" is advance issues - decline issues for Nasdaq. If you could find the ADVDEC number(Symbol), please replace "ADVDEC.NQ" with it.
I don't subscribe the NSE market data(extra fee). If you subscribe NSE data set, you may find ADVDEC issues. (I'm not sure.)
