I am a supporter of crypto's in a world where fiat currencies are in the middle stage of collapse. However, after Bitcoin's recent run, one is playing with fire taking an aggressive long position because a major retracement cannot be ruled out now even if the longer-term prospects remain very good.
However, it seems to me that Bitcoin has ripped away from the rest of the crypto pack as all the hot, momentum money piles in and, whether it continues to rise or sees a major pull-back, the gap between Bitcoin and the others is likely to close as this short-term money-flow phenomenon normalises.
I like Ethereum and looking at the Ethereal/Bitcoin ratio, we are currently at a low level by recent historical standards. Arguably one can make out a reverse head shoulders.
Of all of the options available in the crypt universe, I think the best risk-adjusted opportunity is currently to buy this ratio with the exception that, up or down, Ethereum will outperform Bitcoin over the coming weeks and months.
