IIVI Triangle Breakout

Nice consolidation over the last year. Looks ready to break out within the next week or two. Wait for conformation at the 73.83 green line. Should run cleanly to 78.88. Maybe consolidate there. Run again to 83ish, or more. If this clears the green line and then comes back, re-tests 78.88..be ready for rocket mode..to ATH around earnings.

So.... No Bounce, and blasted through all trend lines. Next play would be watch 61.81. If it bounces I'd play long to 66ish. If it breaks through and continues down I think 57.50 is the target.

Still have confidence this will have a good run up to earnings. Took a starter position on 4/19. Not the best risk management strategy. I am still working on my patience. Took a 5/20 Call option with 65 strike. Almost got stopped out on Friday and if it hits 61 I'll take the loss and wait for another entry point. If it goes up with some volume next week I'll add to my position.

Totally getting smacked down on this play. Didn't exit at 61. Not sure what happened today, but I just didn't exit. I really shouldn't be trading while I'm busy at work because I can't watch what's going on. This is one play I should have entered a hard stoploss and taken the hit automatically.

Didn't get the break long so I'm watching for the short side. I like the triple top reversal set up right now. Even better now with the 66.77 rejection. Likely taking a starting PUT position today. 5/9/22

Took a loss on the put's. Still green overall on this play. I still believe this will breakout large.

Back in and took more puts. Carried over the loss to avoid the wash sale. Up 0.60 on puts but still down overall from last loss. Couple more points and I'll be clear and green on the trade.

6/13/22 Still hoping here.... Very bad trade here, learning hard lessons everyday.
Stop hoping
Cut your losses.
put hard stops on the plays you are not watching every second.
This one recovered 50% today, but that doesn't justify the terrible way I handled the trade. Journaling this trade to the end for record.
