Microsoft (MSFT) shows some clear weakness:

Back in mid 2024 Microsoft created another new all time high and in doing so also retested the major upper resistance trendline of the longer term rising channel formation. Following this bearish retest, a correction is very expected before we then see the bullish trend continuation.

Microsoft definitely remains a candidate for a correction in the near future and since this can very well turn into a rounding top formation, a significant move lower could initiate such a bearish reversal. Price action over the past couple of months has clearly not been too bullish.

It is kind of unbelievable that the stock market rallied +25% while Microsoft missed the whole move and has been just consolidating. This actually means that Microsoft has to catch up eventually but we simply need the momentum of technicals (a.k.a. break and retest) playing out as well.
