This index is actually quite interesting.

This is the index info from february 2020:

Notice how small the weight is of tech compared to the weight of tech in the snp index.

Also, be careful, the big passive china trackers might use a different index for benchmarking which does make you super exposed to names like BABA and Tencent. Example, MCHI uses MSCI China Index as tracker.

Well, you must have heard about that coffee company in China that was a fraud.
Some big names in HF world lost money there.

The index seems to have recouped but beware since even the people with massive DD budgets end up having positions in fraudulent companies.
