Help a new trader! Solana Cup & Handle

I misjudged this bullish flag breakout on SOLUSD and took a big hit.. Made quite a few errors on this trade, so wanted to ask when is a good time to enter and exit a bullish flag formation as part of cup & handle?

There was a fake-out within the bullish flag so I thought it likely to break out. However as you can you see we dipped past my stop loss.

Appreciate any tips on how to trade this formation, in particular how to handle fake-outs and formation breakouts more gracefully.
