Blaize Shares Soar on $120 Million AI Infrastructure Deal in Asia

July 18 - Blaize BZAI shares surged more than 50% on Friday morning after the company unveiled a large-scale artificial intelligence collaboration in Asia.

The California-based firm said it has entered into a technology partnership with Starshine Computing Power Technology Limited to deploy its edge AI infrastructure across data centers in Asia. The deal is expected to generate about $120 million in revenue over an initial 18-month period, beginning in the third quarter of 2025.

Blaize's AI systems will support a range of smart city projects in countries including India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea and China. The company said the collaboration will focus on low-power, high-efficiency inference processing tailored for multimodal workloads at the edge.

CEO Dinakar Munagala said Asia represents a major opportunity for next-gen intelligent infrastructure, citing

growing demand for flexible and power-efficient platforms in the region.

The rally follows an 8.6% gain in the previous session. Volume spiked to around 31 million shares traded in early action, compared with a daily three-month average of roughly 396,000.
