Trump appointee takes office as US Comptroller of the Currency

Jonathan Gould, an appointee of U.S. President Donald Trump, was sworn in on Tuesday as U.S. Comptroller of the Currency, the regulator said in a statement.
Gould was a partner at law firm Jones Day in Washington prior to rejoining government, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency said in the statement. He had previously worked at the OCC.
