NVDA: Nvidia Stock Adds Modest 0.6% on Unveiling of New, More Powerful AI Chip

The chipmaking giant is taking no time off as it leapfrogs in the AI race with the newest addition to its line of AI-enabling chips.

• Nvidia stock NVDA gained a humble 0.6% on Monday after the $1.2tn tech company revealed its latest product. Unsurprisingly, it’s another AI chip! The new H200 Tensor Core GPU is designed with a 60% to 90% performance boost, compared with the current H100 model.
• The next-edition systems to boast the new competition-shattering AI chip will be coming to Nvidia’s hardware partners in the second quarter of next year. Nvidia’s H200 will be a big threat to rival companies and a big opportunity for the company to solidify its towering presence over the industry.
• Nvidia is among the biggest winners of this year’s AI-driven stock rally. Shares of the company are up a staggering 240% on the year and are on the brink of turning up to a fresh record high of just above $493 a share, or less than 1.5% from the current share price of $486.
