## 🚀 Relative Volume with Opening Alerts1. What is this Indicator? (The Big Picture)
Think of this indicator as a crowd detector at a party. It doesn't just tell you how many people are at the party now; it tells you how many people are there compared to how many are usually there at that specific time.
This indicator does the same for stocks. It's a specialized tool to find stocks that have an unusual "crowd" of traders, which is often a sign that big institutions are making a move. It's especially powerful for finding action in the first 30 minutes of the day.
2. What Am I Seeing on the Panel? (Definitions)
Relative Volume (RVOL) %: This is the main metric. It compares today's volume so far to the average volume that would have normally traded up to this same time of day. An RVOL of 500% at 10 AM means the stock has already traded 5 times its normal volume for that point in the morning.
RVol (20), (50), (100): The RVOL value calculated using different averages. This helps you see if the activity is unusual compared to the last month, quarter, or longer.
Opening: A special monitor for the first few minutes of the day. The icons show if the time-sensitive "Opening Alerts" are active, and the checkmarks (✓) act as a log to show if an alert has already triggered today.
Alerts: A simple icon showing if the indicator's automatic alert system is turned on (🔔) or off (🔕).
3. How Are the Numbers Calculated? (The Logic)
RVOL %: The script looks at the current time (e.g., 10:30 AM). It measures the total volume traded today up to 10:30 AM. Then, it looks at the last 20 days and finds the average volume that had traded by 10:30 AM on those days. Finally, it divides today's volume by that average to get the percentage. The script is smart enough to do this correctly even if you are on a daily chart.
4. The Icon Guide (Quick Cheat Sheet) 💡
RVOL Level: 🔥 (Extreme), 🚀 (Very High), 📊 (High), ✅ (Above 100%), 💤 (Normal/Low)
Opening Period Status: ⚡ 🚀 🔥 (Shows which opening alert window is currently active)
5. How to Use Alerts
This indicator can send you automatic notifications. Here’s how to set one up:
Click the 'Alert' button (clock icon) at the top of your TradingView chart.
In the 'Condition' dropdown, select this indicator: "Relative Volume with Opening Alerts".
In the next dropdown that appears, choose 'RVol Alert'.
Under 'Options', you can choose "Once Per Bar" or another frequency.
Click 'Create'.
This single alert will now listen for any of the conditions you have enabled in the settings (both the Opening Alerts and the Regular Alerts).
6. How Do I Use This for Trading? (Simple Strategy)
This indicator helps you find stocks with an "institutional footprint."
Set an Opening Alert for the first 5 or 15 minutes. When an alert triggers, it tells you a stock is a candidate for the day.
After the open, watch the RVOL %. A stock that maintains a very high RVOL (e.g., over 200-300%) for the first 30-60 minutes is showing relentless interest and is a strong candidate to trend for the rest of the day. High RVOL confirms that a price move is supported by significant volume.

## 📊 Enhanced Data Panel1. What is this Indicator? (The Big Picture)
Think of this indicator as the dashboard of a car. A car's dashboard instantly tells you your speed, fuel level, and engine temperature—all the vital signs you need to drive effectively.
This panel does the same thing for a stock. It gives you a complete, at-a-glance summary of a stock's most important vital signs for the day: its volatility, its volume, its trend, and the strength behind its move. It helps you understand the "personality" of a stock for the current trading day without needing to use many different confusing indicators.
2. What Am I Seeing on the Panel? (Definitions)
Each row in the panel tells you a specific story about the stock:
ADR % (Average Daily Range): The stock's average daily movement from its high to its low, shown as a percentage. It answers: "How much does this stock typically move in a day?"
ATR % (Average True Range): A more advanced volatility measure that also includes price gaps between days. It answers: "What is this stock's 'true' daily trading range?"
Avg Vol (20/50/100): The average number of shares traded per day over the last 20, 50, or 100 days. This is your baseline for "normal" volume.
Today's Vol: The total number of shares that have been traded so far in the current day.
Vol Value (Turnover): The total cash value of all shares traded today (e.g., ₹50 Cr or $500M). This shows the financial conviction behind the volume.
Gap %: The percentage price jump (or drop) from yesterday's closing price to today's opening price.
U/D Vol Ratio (Up/Down Volume): A powerful ratio measuring buying vs. selling pressure over the last 20 or 50 days. It answers: "Over the last month, have buyers or sellers been stronger?" A high ratio suggests buyers are in control (accumulation).
Vol Run Rate %: Projects the total volume for today by the end of the day, and shows it as a percentage of its 20-day average. It answers: "At this pace, how busy will this stock be today compared to normal?"
3. How Are the Numbers Calculated? (The Logic)
ADR & ATR: The script looks at the daily candles for the past 14 days and calculates the average size of those candles to find the typical daily volatility.
U/D Vol Ratio: The indicator looks at the last 20 (or 50) days. It adds up all the volume from the "green" days (when price closed up) into one pile and all the volume from the "red" days into another. It then divides the "up volume" pile by the "down volume" pile to get the ratio.
Vol Run Rate %: The script looks at how much time has passed in the trading day and how much volume has traded. It then projects the total volume for the full day and compares that projection to the stock's normal average daily volume to give you a percentage.
4. The Icon Guide (Quick Cheat Sheet) 💡
Volume: 🔥 (Extreme), 📊 (High), ✅ (Above Avg), 💤 (Low)
Volatility: ⚠️ (Extreme), ⚡ (High), 📈 (Normal), 😴 (Low)
Trend: 🚀 (Strong Bullish), 📈 (Bullish), ➡️ (Neutral), 📉 (Bearish), 💥 (Strong Bearish)
Alert Badges (in Header): These special icons appear in the main header:
🔥⚠️ Explosive: Extreme volume is happening at the same time as high volatility.
🔒 Squeeze: The stock is unusually quiet (low volume and low volatility), which can sometimes happen before a big move.
5. How to Use This for Trading? (Simple Strategy)
This panel helps you build a "story" for a stock. Look for when multiple metrics agree. For example, a powerful bullish signal is when you see:
A high Vol Run Rate % (e.g., > 200%)
A high U/D Vol Ratio (e.g., > 1.5)
A strong bullish Trend Icon (🚀)
This combination tells you the stock is on pace for huge volume, buyers have been in control historically, and the price is moving up strongly today.
