DAILY BOX – INDICATOR CORE
Core Concept
• Every trading day is represented by a Daily Box spanning:
o Top: Daily High
o Bottom: Daily Low
• The box is segmented whenever the active directional state changes.
• Direction is determined using a priority logic:
1. RSI
2. CCI
3. Inverted VIX (fallback)
Only one direction is active at any time.
Direction Logic
Each indicator independently produces a directional signal:
• RSI
o Above threshold → Bullish
o Below threshold → Bearish
• CCI
o Above +threshold → Bullish
o Below −threshold → Bearish
• VIX (Inverted, RSI-based)
o High inverted value → Risk-ON (Bullish)
o Low inverted value → Risk-OFF (Bearish)
Priority Rule
If multiple indicators are active:
1. RSI has highest priority
2. CCI is used if RSI is neutral
3. VIX is used only if both RSI and CCI are neutral
This ensures stable and deterministic directional control.
Visual Encoding
Daily Boxes
• Green: Bullish state
• Red: Bearish state
• Gray: Neutral state
• Boxes automatically extend and update as the day evolves.
Historical Management
• Keeps a rolling history of 30 calendar days
• Older boxes are automatically removed to keep the chart clean and efficient
Embedded Indicator Labels
Inside the current daily box, three labels are displayed:
• RSI value
• CCI value
• Inverted VIX value
Features:
• Positioned slightly ahead of price
• Color-coded by each indicator’s direction
• Adjustable font size
This creates a compact, at-a-glance decision panel directly on price.
Daily Close Module (Optional)
An optional module displays the previous day’s close:
Components
• Dashed horizontal line at yesterday’s close
• Label showing:
o “D CLOSE”
o Exact price
o Δ (difference vs current price)
Color Logic
• Green → price above previous close
• Red → price below previous close
• Gray → unchanged
Both the line and the label can be enabled or disabled independently.
Intended Use
This indicator is designed for:
• Intraday structure awareness
• Market state tracking
• Context-first trading decisions
• Visual traders who want directional memory, not just signals
It does not repaint historical daily boxes beyond the defined history window.
Summary
DAILY BOX – INDICATOR CORE provides:
• Direction-aware daily structure
• Clear visual market state
• Embedded indicator context
• Clean, disciplined historical behavior
A strong foundation for context-driven discretionary or systematic trading.
