EPS Dashboard

Enerplus CorporationNYSE

描述

This script creates a little table in an indicator below your chart that allows you to view the earnings per share over the last year as well as calculates the year over year earnings per share growth. According to IBD, strong EPS growth is a great indicator of a potential super-performer stock so hopefully this will make it easier to keep an eye on this metric. Note it does not work on things without financial data like crypto, indexes, and ETFs.

Added a table cell that looks at the average quarterly EPS growth over the last three quarters so you can see a smoother view of how the company's earnings have grown more recently on average vs. just looking at the single YOY comparison.

Great indicator! Since im not a great coder myself, could it be possible to get the EPS-growth% between the quarters in a couple of cells? :) Thinking in the same manner as Minervini, when he likes to see EPS % between the quarters and preferably an acceleration. Best Regards

@Blaadet, That's the intention of the quarterly average cell. It looks at the average growth between the last quarters in percentage terms. You can then look specifically at the different cells per quarter to see how the actual change is. I could add 4 more cells for percentage growth in addition to dollar growth, but I'm thinking that would be too long. Or just replace the dollar growth with percentages entirely if it makes sense. Although I think it's useful to see if a company is not making money but doing better at it, which would show as growth % positive even though the earnings are negative.

@millerrh, Thanks for quick reply. Yes i would consider it as a nice feature to have like the three last quarters in % EPS growth, maybe to have them bundled to right of YOY change or maybe just before the YoY, then you would have a sequence of three green boxes connected to eachother when you have a good scenario. I'm usually clicking through a couple of hundreds charts per day and it would be a really nice visual feedback to have like 3 last quarters ( 45% - 85% - 102%), it would then in an instant give confidence to the stock. And from this we could dig deeper in our analysis. I wish you a great day!

@Blaadet, I like your idea of 3 last quarters in a single box. Wouldn't take too much extra room. I'll put that on the list of things to work on.
