## 🏆 Golden Rule
> **"If you have to convince yourself it's a good signal, it's not a good signal."**
The SNIPER edition is designed so that when a signal appears, there's nothing to think about. If all conditions are met, you trade. If any condition fails, you wait.
**Leave every trade with money. That's the goal.**

Smart Money Flow - Exchange & TVL Composite# Smart Money Flow - Exchange & TVL Composite Indicator
## Overview
The **Smart Money Flow (SMF)** indicator combines two powerful on-chain metrics - **Exchange Flows** and **Total Value Locked (TVL)** - to create a composite index that tracks institutional and "smart money" movement in the cryptocurrency market. This indicator helps traders identify accumulation and distribution phases by analyzing where capital is flowing.
## What It Does
This indicator normalizes and combines:
- **Exchange Net Flow** (from IntoTheBlock): Tracks Bitcoin/Ethereum movement to and from exchanges
- **Total Value Locked** (from DefiLlama): Measures capital locked in DeFi protocols
The composite index is displayed on a 0-100 scale with clear zones for overbought/oversold conditions.
## Core Concept
### Exchange Flows
- **Negative Flow (Outflows)** = Bullish Signal
- Coins moving OFF exchanges → Long-term holding/accumulation
- Indicates reduced selling pressure
- **Positive Flow (Inflows)** = Bearish Signal
- Coins moving TO exchanges → Preparation for selling
- Indicates potential distribution phase
### Total Value Locked (TVL)
- **Rising TVL** = Bullish Signal
- Capital flowing into DeFi protocols
- Increased ecosystem confidence
- **Falling TVL** = Bearish Signal
- Capital exiting DeFi protocols
- Decreased ecosystem confidence
### Combined Signals
**🟢 Strong Bullish (70-100):**
- Exchange outflows + Rising TVL
- Smart money accumulating and deploying capital
**🔴 Strong Bearish (0-30):**
- Exchange inflows + Falling TVL
- Smart money preparing to sell and exiting positions
**⚪ Neutral (40-60):**
- Mixed or balanced flows
## Key Features
### ✅ Auto-Detection
- Automatically detects chart symbol (BTC/ETH)

## Data Requirements
⚠️ **Important Notes:**
- Uses **daily data** from IntoTheBlock and DefiLlama
- Works on any chart timeframe (data updates daily)
- Auto-switches between BTC and ETH based on chart
- All other crypto charts default to BTC exchange flow data
## Best Practices
1. **Use on Daily+ Timeframes**
- On-chain data is daily, most effective on D/W/M charts
2. **Combine with Price Action**
- Use as confirmation, not standalone signals
3. **Watch for Divergences**
- Price making new highs while indicator falling = warning
4. **Monitor Extreme Zones**
- Sustained readings >85 or <15 indicate strong conviction
5. **Context Matters**
- Consider broader market conditions and fundamentals
## Calculation
1. **Exchange Net Flow** = Inflows - Outflows (inverted for index)
2. **TVL Rate of Change** = % change over smoothing period
3. **Normalize** both metrics to 0-100 scale
4. **Composite Index** = (ExchangeFlow × Weight) + (TVL × Weight)
5. **Smooth** with moving average
## Disclaimer
This indicator uses on-chain data for analysis. While valuable, it should not be used as the sole basis for trading decisions. Always combine with other technical analysis tools, fundamental analysis, and proper risk management.
On-chain data reflects blockchain activity but may lag price action. Use this indicator as part of a comprehensive trading strategy.

EMA Position AlertDescription
EMA Position Alert is a comprehensive trend analysis tool designed to help traders instantly identify the market's direction and strength relative to key Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs). By combining visual trend lines with a real-time data dashboard, this indicator provides a clear snapshot of the current price action across short, medium, and long-term horizons.
Whether you are a scalper looking for short-term momentum or a swing trader identifying major trend reversals, this tool simplifies the complex relationship between price and moving averages.
Key Features
1. Multi-EMA System The indicator plots four essential EMAs commonly used by institutional and retail traders:
EMA 21: Short-term trend/momentum.
EMA 55: Medium-term trend.
EMA 100: Major support/resistance level.
EMA 200: Long-term trend filter.
Visual Aid: The EMA lines change transparency automatically. They appear brighter/solid when the price is above them (bullish) and more transparent/faded when the price is below them (bearish).
2. Real-Time Information Dashboard A customizable table (displayed in the top-right corner) provides live data for the current bar:
Status: Clearly indicates if the price is "Above ▲" (Bullish) or "Below ▼" (Bearish) for each specific EMA.
Distance (%): Calculates the percentage distance between the current closing price and each EMA. This is crucial for identifying overextended moves (mean reversion opportunities) or tight consolidation.
Overall Trend Summary:
Strong ★★: Price is above all EMAs (21, 55, 100, 200).
Building ★: Price is above the long-term EMAs (55, 100, 200) but may be testing the short-term trend.
Weak ▼: Price is below all EMAs.
Ranging: Mixed signals (price is sandwiched between EMAs).
3. Custom Alerts Never miss a move. The script comes with built-in alert conditions compatible with TradingView's alert system:
Breakout Alerts: Trigger an alert when price crosses above specific EMAs (21, 55, 100, or 200).
Strong Trend Alert: Trigger an alert when the price successfully holds above all EMAs, signaling a strong bullish phase.
Settings
Show Status Table: Toggle the dashboard on or off.
Table Transparency: Adjust the background opacity of the dashboard to fit your chart theme.
Line Width: Adjust the thickness of the EMA lines for better visibility.
How to Use
Trend Following: Look for the "Strong ★★" status in the dashboard. When the price is above all EMAs and the EMAs are fanning out, it indicates a strong uptrend.
Pullbacks: If the trend is "Strong" but the price drops to test the EMA 21 or EMA 55, look for support bounces.
Mean Reversion: Watch the Distance %. If the distance becomes historically large, the price may be overextended and due for a correction back to the mean.
Consolidation: When the status shows "Ranging" and the Distance % is very low (near 0.00%), a breakout move is likely imminent.
RSI Ensemble Confidence [CHE]RSI Ensemble Confidence — Measures RSI agreement across multiple lengths and price sources
Summary
This indicator does not just show you one RSI — it shows you how strongly dozens of different RSI variants agree with each other right now.
The Confidence line (0–100) is the core idea:
- High Confidence → almost all RSIs see the same thing → clean, reliable situation
- Low Confidence → the RSIs contradict each other → the market is messy, RSI signals are questionable
How it works (exactly as you wanted it described)
1. Multiple RSIs instead of just one
The indicator builds a true ensemble:
- 4 lengths (default 8, 14, 21, 34)
- 6 price sources (Close, Open, High, Low, HL2, OHLC4 – individually switchable)
→ When everything is enabled, up to 24 different RSIs are calculated on every single bar.
These 24 opinions form a real “vote” about the current market state.
2. Mean and dispersion
From all active RSIs it calculates:
- rsiMean → the average opinion of the entire ensemble (orange line)
- rsiStd → how far the individual RSIs deviate from each other
Small rsiStd = they all lie close together → strong agreement
Large rsiStd = they are all over the place → contradiction
3. Confidence (0–100)
The standard deviation is compared to the user parameter “Max expected StdDev” (default 20):
- rsiStd = 0 → Confidence ≈ 100
- rsiStd = maxStd → Confidence ≈ 0
- Everything in between is scaled linearly
If only one RSI is active, Confidence is automatically set to ~80 for practicality.
What you see on the chart
1. Classic reference RSI – blue line (Close, length 14) → your familiar benchmark
2. Ensemble mean – orange line → the true consensus RSI
±1 StdDev band (optional) → shows dispersion directly:
- narrow band = clean, consistent setup
- wide band = the RSIs disagree → caution
3. Confidence line (aqua, 0–100) → your quality meter for any RSI signal
4. StdDev histogram (optional, fuchsia columns) → raw dispersion if you prefer the unscaled value
5. Background coloring
- Greenish ≥ 80 → high agreement
- Orange 60–80 → medium
- Reddish < 40 → strong disagreement
- Transparent below that
6. Two built-in alerts
- High Confidence (crossover 80)
- Low Confidence (crossunder 40)
Why this indicator is practically useful
1. Perfect filter for all RSI strategies
Only trade overbought/oversold, divergences, or failures when Confidence ≥ 70. Skip or reduce size when Confidence < 40.
2. Protection against overinterpretation
You immediately see whether a “beautiful” RSI hook is confirmed by the other 23 variants — or whether it’s just one outlier fooling you.
3. Excellent regime detector
Long periods of high Confidence = clean trends or clear overbought/oversold phases
Constantly low Confidence = choppy, noisy market → RSI becomes almost useless
4. Turns gut feeling into numbers
We all sometimes think “this setup somehow doesn’t feel right”. Now you have the exact number that says why.

Asymmetric Market Momentum Channel█ OVERVIEW
"Asymmetric Market Momentum Channel" is a dynamic channel indicator that adjusts its width based on the actual strength and asymmetry of market momentum. Thanks to the asymmetric band expansion triggered by strong candles, it significantly reduces false breakouts while remaining highly sensitive to genuine moves.
█ CONCEPTS
Traditional volatility channels react too slowly or too uniformly. This indicator introduces asymmetry:
- After a strong bullish candle with a large body and long upper wick, the upper band is pushed much farther than the lower one.
- After a strong bearish candle, the lower band expands more.
As a result, the channel "remembers" the direction of the last real momentum.
- With wide bands (default base_scale 200+), it excels in contrarian (reversal) strategies – price tends to return to the midline, producing clean reversal signals.
- With narrow bands (base_scale set to 100–150), it behaves like a sensitive breakout channel – breakouts from a tight channel deliver very high-quality trend-continuation signals.
█ FEATURES
Fully adjustable asymmetric momentum channel:
- length – SMA period for midline and average range (default 30)
- base_scale – base channel width in % of average candle range (default 200%)
- strength – asymmetry intensity (higher = stronger expansion after powerful candles)
- smooth_len – EMA smoothing of the expansion (default 10)
Visualization:
- Upper band – red, lower band – green
- Midline SMA – gray
- Gradient background fill (enabled by default) – red above midline, green below; intensity controlled by Background Intensity (85 = strong, 95 = very subtle)
Signal modes:
- Contrarian (Reversal) – reversal signals on price returning inside the channel after exceeding it + confirming candle color
- Trend Continuation (Breakout) – classic breakout signals (recommended to lower base_scale to 100–150 for faster triggers)
- Both – displays both types simultaneously
Visual signals:
- Small green triangles below the bar → bullish signal
- Small red triangles above the bar → bearish signal
Alerts: Bullish Signal, Bearish Signal, Any Signal, Breakout Up, Breakout Down
█ HOW TO USE
Add the indicator to your TradingView chart and adjust the settings:
Key parameter:
- base_scale – defines the indicator’s character:
→ 200–300% → wide channel → Contrarian (reversal) mode
→ 100–150% → narrow channel → Trend Continuation (breakout) mode
- strength (default 1.0)
- length (30) – higher values = smoother, more trend-following behavior
smooth_len (10) – lower values = faster reaction to new momentum
Interpretation:
- Wide channel (base_scale ≥ 200) + Contrarian mode → mean-reversion trading
- Narrow channel (base_scale 100–150) + Breakout mode → aggressive trend-following on breakouts
- Both mode works universally – simply change base_scale to completely switch the indicator’s behavior
█ APPLICATIONS
- Scalping & daytrading – narrow channel + Breakout mode on 5–15 min
- Swing trading – narrow or wide channel + Both mode on H1–D1
- Mean-reversion – wide channel + Contrarian mode
- Trend filter – longs only above midline, shorts only below
█ NOTES
- In very strong one-sided trends, contrarian signals generate many false entries – switch exclusively to Trend Continuation (Breakout) mode with a narrow channel.
- Best performance on instruments with clear volatility and volume.
- Always match base_scale to your strategy (wide = reversal, narrow = breakout).
- Combining with volume, support/resistance levels, or indicators like MACD/RSI dramatically improves signal quality.

_Remember: The best indicator is your own analysis and discipline._
High Volume Bars (Advanced)High Volume Bars (Advanced)
High Volume Bars (Advanced) is a Pine Script v6 indicator for TradingView that highlights bars with unusually high volume, with several ways to define “unusual”:
Classic: volume > moving average + N × standard deviation
Change-based: large change in volume vs previous bar
Z-score: statistically extreme volume values
Robust mode (optional): median + MAD, less sensitive to outliers
It can:
Recolor candles when volume is high
Optionally highlight the background
Optionally plot volume bands (center ± spread × multiplier)
⸻
1. How it works
At each bar the script:
Picks the volume source:
If Use Volume Change vs Previous Bar? is off → uses raw volume
If on → uses abs(volume - volume )
Computes baseline statistics over the chosen source:
Lookback bars
Moving average (SMA or EMA)
Standard deviation
Optionally replaces mean/std with robust stats:
Center = median (50th percentile)
Spread = MAD (median absolute deviation, scaled to approx σ)
Builds bands:
upper = center + spread * multiplier
lower = max(center - spread * multiplier, 0)
Flags a bar as “high volume” if:
It passes the mode logic:
Classic abs: volume > upper
Change mode: abs(volume - volume ) > upper
Z-score mode: z-score ≥ multiplier
AND the relative filter (optional): volume > average_volume * Min Volume vs Avg
AND it is past the first Skip First N Bars from the start of the chart
Colors the bar and (optionally) the background accordingly.
⸻
2. Inputs
2.1. Statistics
Lookback (len)
Number of bars used to compute the baseline stats (mean / median, std / MAD).
Typical values: 50–200.
StdDev / Z-Score Multiplier (mult)
How far from the baseline a bar must be to count as “high volume”.
In classic mode: volume > mean + mult × std
In z-score mode: z ≥ mult
Typical values: 1.0–2.5.
Use EMA Instead of SMA? (smooth_with_ema)
Off → uses SMA (slower but smoother).
On → uses EMA (reacts faster to recent changes).
Use Robust Stats (Median & MAD)? (use_robust)
Off → mean + standard deviation
On → median + MAD (less sensitive to a few insane spikes)
Useful for assets with occasional volume blow-ups.
⸻
2.2. Detection Mode
These inputs control how “unusual” is defined.
• Use Volume Change vs Previous Bar? (mode_change)
• Off (default) → uses absolute volume.
• On → uses abs(volume - volume ).
You then detect jumps in volume rather than absolute size.
Note: This is ignored if Z-Score mode is switched on (see below).
• Use Z-Score on Volume? (Overrides change) (mode_zscore)
• Off → high volume when raw value exceeds the upper band.
• On → computes z-score = (value − center) / spread and flags a bar as high when z ≥ multiplier.
Z-score mode can be combined with robust stats for more stable thresholds.
• Min Volume vs Avg (Filter) (min_rel_mult)
An extra filter to ignore tiny-volume bars that are statistically “weird” but not meaningful.
• 0.0 → no filter (all stats-based candidates allowed).
• 1.0 → high-volume bar must also be at least equal to average volume.
• 1.5 → bar must be ≥ 1.5 × average volume.
• Skip First N Bars (from start of chart) (skip_open_bars)
Skips the first N bars of the chart when evaluating high-volume conditions.
This is mostly a safety / cosmetic option to avoid weird behavior on very early bars or backfill.
⸻
2.3. Visuals
• Show Volume Bands? (show_bands)
• If on, plots:
• Upper band (upper)
• Lower band (lower)
• Center line (vol_center)
These are plotted on the same pane as the script (usually the price chart).
• Also Highlight Background? (use_bg)
• If on, fills the background on high-volume bars with High-Vol Background.
• High-Vol Bar Transparency (0–100) (bar_transp)
Controls the opacity of the high-volume bar colors (up / down).
• 0 → fully opaque
• 100 → fully transparent (no visible effect)
• Up Color (upColor) / Down Color (dnColor)
• Regular bar colors (non high-volume) for up and down bars.
• Up High-Vol Base Color (upHighVolBase) / Down High-Vol Base Color (dnHighVolBase)
Base colors used for high-volume up/down bars. Transparency is applied on top of these via bar_transp.
• High-Vol Background (bgHighVolColor)
Background color used when Also Highlight Background? is enabled.
⸻
3. What gets colored and how
• Bar color (barcolor)
• Up bar:
• High volume → Up High-Vol Color
• Normal volume → Up Color
• Down bar:
• High volume → Down High-Vol Color
• Normal volume → Down Color
• Flat bar → neutral gray
• Background color (bgcolor)
• If Also Highlight Background? is on, high-volume bars get High-Vol Background.
• Otherwise, background is unchanged.
⸻
4. Alerts
The indicator exposes three alert conditions:
• High Volume Bar
Triggers whenever is_high is true (up or down).
• High Volume Up Bar
Triggers only when is_high is true and the bar closed up (close > open).
• High Volume Down Bar
Triggers only when is_high is true and the bar closed down (close < open).
You can use these in TradingView’s “Create Alert” dialog to:
• Get notified of potential breakout / exhaustion bars.
• Trigger webhook events for bots / custom infra.
⸻
5. Recommended presets
5.1. “Classic” high-volume detector (closest to original)
• Lookback: 150–200
• StdDev / Z-Score Multiplier: 1.0–1.5
• Use EMA Instead of SMA?: off
• Use Robust Stats?: off
• Use Volume Change vs Previous Bar?: off
• Use Z-Score on Volume?: off
• Min Volume vs Avg (Filter): 0.0–1.0
Behavior: Flags bars whose volume is notably above the recent average (plus a bit of noise filtering), same spirit as your initial implementation.
⸻
5.2. Volatility-aware (Z-score) mode
• Lookback: 100–200
• StdDev / Z-Score Multiplier: 1.5–2.0
• Use EMA Instead of SMA?: on
• Use Robust Stats?: on (if asset has huge spikes)
• Use Volume Change vs Previous Bar?: off (ignored anyway in z-score mode)
• Use Z-Score on Volume?: on
• Min Volume vs Avg (Filter): 0.5–1.0
Behavior: Flags bars that are “statistically extreme” relative to recent volume behavior, not just absolutely large. Good for assets where baseline volume drifts over time.
⸻
5.3. “Wake-up bar” (volume acceleration)
• Lookback: 50–100
• StdDev / Z-Score Multiplier: 1.0–1.5
• Use EMA Instead of SMA?: on
• Use Robust Stats?: optional
• Use Volume Change vs Previous Bar?: on
• Use Z-Score on Volume?: off
• Min Volume vs Avg (Filter): 0.5–1.0
Behavior: Emphasis on sudden increases in volume rather than absolute size – useful to catch “first active bar” after a quiet period.
⸻
6. Limitations / notes
• Time-of-day effects
The script currently treats the entire chart as one continuous “session”. On 24/7 markets (crypto) this is fine. For regular-session assets (equities, futures), volume naturally spikes at open/close; you may want to:
• Use a shorter Lookback, or
• Add a session-aware filter in a future iteration.
• Illiquid symbols
On very low-liquidity symbols, robust stats (Use Robust Stats) and a non-zero Min Volume vs Avg can help avoid “everything looks extreme” problems.
• Overlay behavior
overlay = true means:
• Bars are recolored on the price pane.
• Volume bands are also drawn on the price pane if enabled.
If you want a dedicated panel for the bands, duplicate the logic in a separate script with overlay = false.
Trinity Dynamic ATR Levels (Saty)This is an updated version of the SATY ATR levels ()
Trinity Dynamic ATR Levels
The core logic is 100 % identical: same higher-timeframe ATR calculation, same trigger at ~23.6 %, same Fibonacci and extension levels, same 8-21-34 EMA ribbon for the trend color in the table, and the table itself looks exactly like the original again (4 rows, clean layout, no extra target row). The visual and usability upgrades you now have that the original does not:
Lower Trigger line is now red instead of yellow, Upper Trigger line is now green instead of aqua/cyan to indicate to go long or short.
Every single level group has its own color input so you can customize everything (previous close, fib levels, 61.8 %, 100 % ATR, extensions, 200 %, 300 %, etc.) without touching the code. Every plotted level now has a clear text label on the right side of the chart (“Prev Close”, “Lower Trig”, “Upper Trig”, “-61.8 %”, “+100 %”, “-200 %”, etc.) so you instantly know what you’re looking at.
A new input called “Target Distance (×ATR)” lets you decide how far your profit target is (default 1.0 = +100 % ATR, but you can set 1.618, 2.0, 2.618, etc. instantly).
As soon as price closes above the Upper Trigger or below the Lower Trigger, a big, obvious target box automatically appears on the right side of the screen showing the exact dollar target price for the active long or short (green box for longs, red box for shorts). When there is no active trigger, the box disappears and the table stays perfectly clean.
In short, you now have the exact same beloved Saty ATR indicator everyone uses, but with red/green triggers, full color control, level labels, and a beautiful dynamic target box that only shows up when you actually have a trade on — all while keeping the original clean 4-row table untouched. It’s the cleanest and most professional version you’ll find anywhere. Enjoy! 🚀
Luxy Sector & Industry RS AnalyzerEver wonder why some stocks soar while others in the same sector barely move? Or why your perfectly timed entry still loses money? Possibly the answer can be found in Relative Strength.
The Luxy Sector & Industry RS Analyzer solves a critical problem that most traders overlook: picking strong stocks in strong sectors AND strong industries . It's not enough for a stock to go up - you want stocks that are crushing their competition at both the sector AND industry level. This indicator does the heavy lifting by automatically comparing your stock against its sector ETF, industry ETF, the broader market, sector leader, and industry leader, giving you a complete multi-level picture of relative performance.
What makes this different?
- Automatic sector AND industry detection - no manual setup required
- Multi-level hierarchy analysis: Market → Sector → Industry → Stock
- Multi-timeframe analysis (1 month to 1 year) in one glance
- Industry ETF mapping (30+ industries covered)
- Clear 0-100 scoring system with letter grades (A+ to F)
- Works on stocks, crypto, forex, and commodities
- Real-time updates with anti-repaint protection
Think of it as your performance dashboard - instantly showing you if you're trading a champion or a laggard at every level of the market hierarchy.
METHODOLOGY & ATTRIBUTION
This indicator is based on classical Relative Strength (RS) analysis principles from technical analysis. RS methodology compares an asset's price performance against a benchmark to identify relative outperformance or underperformance. This concept has been used by professional traders and institutions for decades.
Key Concepts Used:
Relative Strength (RS) - Classical technical analysis concept measuring comparative performance
Multi-Level Hierarchy Analysis - Market → Sector → Industry → Stock comparison
Sector Rotation Analysis - Identifying which sectors are leading or lagging the market
Industry Rotation Analysis - Identifying which industries are leading within their sectors
Multi-period Performance Analysis - Evaluating strength across multiple timeframes
Beta Calculation - Standard statistical measure of volatility relative to a benchmark
DISCLAIMER: This indicator is for educational and informational purposes only. It should not be considered financial advice or a recommendation to buy or sell. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Trading involves risk and may not be suitable for all investors. Always do your own research and consult with a financial advisor before making investment decisions.
with all rows visible - capture when stock has strong RS score (70+) so users can see what a "good" setup looks like]
WHAT THE INDICATOR SHOWS
1. AUTOMATIC ASSET TYPE DETECTION
The indicator automatically identifies what you're analyzing and adjusts accordingly:
Stocks - Compares to sector ETF (XLK, XLF, XLV, etc.) and SPY
Crypto - Compares to Total Crypto Market Cap and Bitcoin
Forex - Compares to relevant currency index (DXY, EXY, etc.)
Commodities - Compares to Gold (GLD) as benchmark
Indices - Compares to broader market indices
How it works: The indicator reads your chart's asset type and ticker, then automatically maps it to the correct sector or benchmark. For stocks, it uses intelligent sector detection (looking at the sector field) to match you with the right sector ETF. For example:
- Technology stocks get compared to XLK (Technology Select Sector SPDR)
- Financial stocks get compared to XLF (Financial Select Sector SPDR)
- Healthcare stocks get compared to XLV (Health Care Select Sector SPDR)
This happens instantly when you add the indicator to any chart - no configuration needed.
2. SECTOR & MARKET BENCHMARKS
What is a Sector ETF?
A sector ETF is an exchange-traded fund that tracks a specific industry group. For example, XLK contains all major technology companies. By comparing your stock to its sector ETF, you can see if your stock is outperforming or underperforming its peers.
The indicator shows three key comparison points:
Stock vs Sector (Benchmark)
This tells you how your stock performs compared to companies in the same industry. Positive numbers mean your stock is beating the sector average. Negative numbers mean it's lagging behind.
Stock vs Market (SPY)
This shows performance against the broader S&P 500 index. This is important because even if a stock beats its sector, the entire sector might be weak. You want stocks that beat both their sector AND the market.
Sector vs Market
This reveals "sector rotation" - whether money is flowing into or out of this sector. When this number is positive, the whole sector is hot and leading the market. This is powerful because strong sectors tend to lift all boats, making it easier to find winners.
3. MULTI-PERIOD PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS
The indicator calculates performance across four timeframes simultaneously:
1 Month (1M) - Recent short-term momentum
3 Months (3M) - Medium-term trend strength
6 Months (6M) - Longer-term positioning
1 Year (1Y) - Full-cycle performance view
Why multiple periods matter:
A stock might look great over 1 month but terrible over 6 months - that's a red flag. The best stocks show consistent strength across all timeframes . When you see positive RS (Relative Strength) values across all four periods, you've found a stock with sustained outperformance.
Each row in the table shows:
- Raw performance percentage for that period
- RS value (the difference compared to benchmark)
- Color coding: Green for positive, red for negative, white for neutral
4. SECTOR LEADER COMPARISON
The indicator automatically identifies and compares your stock to the sector leader - the dominant stock in that industry.
Sector leaders by industry:
Technology: Apple (AAPL)
Healthcare: UnitedHealth (UNH)
Financial: JPMorgan Chase (JPM)
Energy: ExxonMobil (XOM)
Consumer Discretionary: Amazon (AMZN)
Consumer Staples: Walmart (WMT)
And more...
Why this matters:
Comparing to the leader shows you if you're trading a champion or a follower. If your stock consistently beats the sector leader, you've found something special. If it's lagging the leader, you might want to trade the leader instead.
Optional Custom Leader:
You can override the automatic leader and compare to any stock you choose. This is useful if you want to benchmark against a specific competitor or reference stock.
NEW! INDUSTRY ANALYSIS (STOCKS ONLY)
The indicator now provides multi-level analysis by automatically detecting and comparing your stock to its specific industry , not just the broad sector.
Why Industry matters:
Technology sector (XLK) contains many different industries: Software, Semiconductors, Hardware, etc. A software stock might beat the broad tech sector but lag behind other software companies. Industry analysis provides this granular view.
Industry ETF Mapping (30+ industries):
Software/Applications: IGV (iShares Software ETF)
Semiconductors: SMH (VanEck Semiconductor ETF)
Biotech: IBB (iShares Biotechnology ETF)
Pharmaceuticals: XPH (SPDR Pharmaceuticals ETF)
Banks: KBE (SPDR S&P Bank ETF)
Regional Banks: KRE (SPDR Regional Banking ETF)
Oil & Gas Exploration: XOP (SPDR Oil & Gas Exploration ETF)
Homebuilders: XHB (SPDR Homebuilders ETF)
Retail: XRT (SPDR S&P Retail ETF)
Aerospace & Defense: ITA (iShares U.S. Aerospace & Defense ETF)
And many more...
Industry Leader Mapping:
The indicator also identifies the leader within each industry:
Software: Microsoft (MSFT)
Semiconductors: NVIDIA (NVDA)
Biotech: Amgen (AMGN)
Pharmaceuticals: Eli Lilly (LLY)
Banks: JPMorgan (JPM)
Oil Exploration: ConocoPhillips (COP)
And more...
New Table Rows for Stocks:
Industry ETF Performance - How the specific industry performed (green background)
Industry Leader Performance - How the top stock in the industry performed
vs Industry RS - Your stock's outperformance vs its industry ETF
Industry vs Sector RS - Is this industry hot or cold within its sector?
vs Industry Leader RS - Your stock's performance vs the industry's best
Why this is powerful:
A stock that beats both its sector AND its industry is showing strength at every level. This indicates true relative strength, not just riding sector-wide momentum.
Optional Custom Industry:
You can override automatic detection for both Industry ETF and Industry Leader in settings.
5. RS SCORE & GRADING SYSTEM (0-100)
The heart of the indicator is the RS Score - a weighted calculation that distills all the performance data into one clear number from 0 to 100.
How the score is calculated:
FOR STOCKS (with Industry data):
The indicator splits the weight between Sector (60%) and Industry (40%):
SECTOR RS (60% of total weight):
1 Month RS: 24% weight (40% × 0.6)
3 Month RS: 18% weight (30% × 0.6)
6 Month RS: 12% weight (20% × 0.6)
1 Year RS: 6% weight (10% × 0.6)
INDUSTRY RS (40% of total weight):
1 Month RS: 16% weight (40% × 0.4)
3 Month RS: 12% weight (30% × 0.4)
6 Month RS: 8% weight (20% × 0.4)
1 Year RS: 4% weight (10% × 0.4)
FOR OTHER ASSETS (Crypto, Forex, Commodities):
Uses full 100% weight on benchmark:
1 Month RS: 40% weight
3 Month RS: 30% weight
6 Month RS: 20% weight
1 Year RS: 10% weight
It starts at 50 (neutral) and adds or subtracts points based on your asset's relative strength in each period.
Bonus points:
+5 points if the sector is outperforming the market (sector rotation is bullish)
+5 points if the industry is outperforming its sector (hot industry) - STOCKS ONLY
+5 points if RS momentum is improving (getting stronger over time)
-5 points if RS momentum is declining (getting weaker)
The final score is capped between 0-100.
Letter Grade System:
90-100: A+ - Elite performer, crushing the sector
85-89: A - Excellent, strong outperformer
80-84: A- - Very good, above average
75-79: B+ - Good, solid performer
70-74: B - Above average, decent strength
65-69: B- - Slightly above average
60-64: C+ - Average, neutral strength
55-59: C - Below average
50-54: C- - Weak, slight underperformance
45-49: D+ - Concerning weakness
40-44: D - Poor, significant underperformance
0-39: F - Failing, avoid this stock
What scores mean for trading:
- RS Score above 70: Strong stocks worth considering for long positions
- RS Score 50-70: Average stocks, better opportunities elsewhere
- RS Score below 50: Weak stocks, avoid or consider for shorts
6. CONSISTENCY SCORE
This metric shows what percentage of time periods show positive RS .
For STOCKS (with Industry data):
Counts both Sector RS periods AND Industry RS periods (up to 8 total periods):
- If a stock beats both sector and industry in all 4 periods each: Consistency = 100% (8/8)
- If it beats in 6 out of 8 total periods: Consistency = 75%
- If it beats in 4 out of 8 total periods: Consistency = 50%
For OTHER ASSETS:
Counts benchmark periods only (4 total):
- If it beats benchmark in all 4 periods (1M, 3M, 6M, 1Y): Consistency = 100%
- If it beats in 3 out of 4 periods: Consistency = 75%
- If it beats in 2 out of 4 periods: Consistency = 50%
Why consistency matters:
A high RS Score with low consistency might indicate a recent spike that could fade. The best stocks show both high RS Score AND high consistency - they're strong now AND have been strong historically at both the sector AND industry level.
Look for stocks with:
Consistency above 75%: Very reliable strength across all levels
Consistency 50-75%: Decent but check other metrics
Consistency below 50%: Weak or erratic, proceed with caution
7. BETA CALCULATION (Volatility Measure)
Beta measures how much more volatile your stock is compared to its sector.
Beta > 1.2 : High volatility - stock moves more aggressively than sector (marked as "High")
Beta 0.8-1.2 : Normal volatility - moves roughly in line with sector
Beta < 0.8 : Low volatility - stock is more stable than sector (marked as "Low")
Formula used:
Beta = Correlation(Stock, Sector) × (Standard Deviation of Stock / Standard Deviation of Sector)
This uses a 20-period calculation for reliability.
How to use Beta:
- High Beta stocks offer bigger gains but also bigger risks - good for aggressive traders
- Low Beta stocks are more defensive - good for conservative positions
- Match Beta to your risk tolerance and strategy
8. DAYS ABOVE/BELOW SECTOR
This tracks consecutive periods (bars) where your stock outperforms or underperforms its sector.
Days Above Sector:
Counts how many bars in a row your stock has beaten the sector.
10+ days: Strong sustained strength (shown in bright green)
5-9 days: Building momentum (shown in yellow)
1-4 days: Early strength (shown in white)
0 days: Not currently outperforming
Days Below Sector:
Counts how many bars in a row your stock has lagged the sector.
10+ days: Sustained weakness (shown in bright red)
5-9 days: Losing momentum (shown in orange)
1-4 days: Minor weakness (shown in white)
0 days: Not underperforming (this is good!)
Why this matters:
Long streaks show trend persistence. A stock with 15+ days above sector is riding strong momentum. A stock with 15+ days below sector is in a sustained downtrend relative to peers.
9. PRICE VS 52-WEEK HIGH
Shows where current price sits relative to its 52-week high (or equivalent for your timeframe).
95%+ (green) : Stock is near all-time highs - strong positioning
80-94% (yellow) : Stock is in a pullback but still relatively strong
Below 80% : Stock has pulled back significantly from highs
Why this matters:
The strongest stocks stay near their highs. When you see a stock with high RS Score AND price near 52W high, you've found a stock with institutional support and strong buying pressure.
10. RELATIVE VOLUME
Compares current volume to the 20-period average volume.
1.5x+ (green) : High volume - significant interest and participation
Around 1.0x : Average volume - normal trading activity
Below 1.0x : Low volume - less interest or inactive period
Why volume matters:
High relative volume confirms price moves. When a stock makes a strong move on 2x or 3x normal volume, it's more likely to sustain. Low volume moves are often just noise.
11. AVERAGE RS STRENGTH
This calculates the average absolute value of all RS readings across the four timeframes.
It shows the magnitude of divergence from the sector, regardless of direction. A high number means the stock moves very differently from its sector (could be much stronger or much weaker). A low number means it tracks closely with the sector.
High Average RS: Stock has strong character, moves independently
Low Average RS: Stock follows sector closely, lacks individual strength
12. SECTOR ROTATION SIGNAL
This indicator automatically detects when a sector is experiencing bullish rotation - meaning money is flowing into the sector and it's outperforming the broader market.
Condition for bullish rotation:
Sector must be beating SPY (market) in both 1-month AND 3-month periods.
Why this matters:
Stocks in hot sectors tend to perform better because they have tailwinds from sector-wide buying. When sector rotation is bullish and your stock has a high RS Score, you've found an ideal setup.
The indicator adds +5 bonus points to the RS Score when sector rotation is bullish.
13. MOMENTUM DETECTION
The indicator compares 1-month RS to 3-month RS to detect if momentum is improving or declining.
RS Momentum Improving: 1M RS is better than 3M RS - stock is getting stronger (adds +5 to score)
RS Momentum Declining: 1M RS is worse than 3M RS - stock is getting weaker (subtracts -5 from score)
Why momentum matters:
You want to catch stocks as momentum is building, not after it's already peaked. Improving momentum suggests the strength is accelerating, not fading.
14. OVERALL ASSESSMENT & RECOMMENDATION
The indicator provides two quick summary rows:
Overall Rating:
Based on grade and RS Score, you get an instant quality rating:
Strong Leader (A/A+) - Top tier stock, crushing it
Above Average (A-/B+) - Solid performer, better than most
Average (B/B-) - Middle of the pack
Below Average (C/C+) - Struggling, watch carefully
Underperformer (D/F) - Weak stock, underperforming badly
Trading Signal:
Combines multiple factors to give setup quality:
STRONG BUY SETUP - RS Score 70+, Consistency 75+, AND sector rotation bullish. This is the perfect storm - strong stock, consistent strength, hot sector.
BULLISH - RS Score 60+, Consistency 50+. Good quality stock worth considering.
NEUTRAL - RS Score 50+. Okay but not exciting, better opportunities exist.
WEAK - RS Score 40-49. Below average, risky.
AVOID - RS Score below 40. Stay away, too weak.
IMPORTANT: These are educational signals only, not financial advice. Always do your own analysis and risk management.

Set your threshold (default 5%) - this determines how big a divergence triggers the alert.
RS Score Alerts:
Get notified when RS Score crosses your threshold:
Crossed Above: RS Score went from below to above your threshold (bullish)
Crossed Below: RS Score dropped from above to below threshold (bearish)
Set your threshold (default 70) to focus on strong stocks.

HOW TO USE THE INDICATOR
FOR SWING TRADERS:
1. Add indicator to your watchlist stocks
2. Look for RS Score 70+ with Consistency 75%+
3. Check if sector rotation is bullish (bonus!)
4. Verify price is near 52W high (95%+)
5. Wait for entry setup on your chart
6. Use stop loss below key support
Example Setup:
Stock shows:
- RS Score: 82 (Grade: A-)
- Consistency: 100% (strong across all periods)
- Sector Rotation: Bullish
- Price vs 52W High: 96%
- Days Above Sector: 12 days
- Relative Volume: 1.8x
This is a textbook strong stock in a hot sector near highs - ideal for swing long.
FOR POSITION TRADERS:
1. Focus on 6-month and 1-year RS values
2. Look for sustained outperformance (Consistency 75%+)
3. Prefer lower Beta stocks (less volatility)
4. Check Days Above Sector for trend persistence
5. Monitor RS Score monthly, exit if drops below 60
FOR ACTIVE TRADERS:
1. Use on intraday timeframes (1H or 4H)
2. Set RS Score filter to 60+ for quick screening
3. Enable Divergence Alerts
4. Watch for momentum improving signal
5. Higher Beta stocks offer more movement
FOR SHORT SELLERS:
1. Look for RS Score below 40 (Grade: D or F)
2. Check for declining momentum
3. Verify Days Below Sector is increasing (10+)
4. Sector rotation should be bearish
5. Price should be well off 52W high
WHAT MAKES A PERFECT SETUP:
The holy grail combination:
RS Score: 75+ (A- or better)
Consistency: 80%+ (strong across time - beats sector AND industry)
Sector Rotation: Bullish (hot sector)
Industry vs Sector: Positive (hot industry within sector)
Days Above Sector: 10+ (sustained strength)
Momentum: Improving (getting stronger)
Price vs 52W High: 90%+ (near highs)
Relative Volume: 1.5x+ (volume confirmation)
When you find this combination, you've located a stock with every advantage in its favor - strong at the stock level, industry level, AND sector level. That's multi-level confirmation of relative strength.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Data Reliability:
All calculations use lookahead=off for anti-repaint protection
Historical values will never change
Real-time indicator toggle only affects the visual clock icon, not data reliability
All security requests are properly configured to prevent future data leakage
Sector Mapping Notes:
Sector detection uses TradingView's sector field
Some stocks may not have sector data - indicator will adapt
Sector ETFs used: XLK, XLF, XLV, XLE, XLY, XLP, XLI, XLB, XLRE, XLU, XLC
Major market ETFs (SPY, QQQ, DIA) are treated as market benchmarks, not stocks
Multi-Asset Notes:
Crypto compares to CRYPTOCAP:TOTAL (total crypto market cap)
Forex compares to relevant currency index based on base currency
Commodities compare to Gold (GLD) as primary commodity benchmark
Custom leaders can be set for any asset type
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What does RS Score of 75 actually mean?
A: It means your stock is strongly outperforming its sector across multiple timeframes. The score is weighted toward recent performance (1-month gets 40% weight), so 75 indicates sustained relative strength with emphasis on current momentum.
Q: My stock has high RS Score but is going down. Why?
A: RS Score measures relative performance (vs sector/market), not absolute price direction. A stock can fall 5% while its sector falls 10% - that's still positive relative strength. In bear markets or sector corrections, high RS stocks often fall less than peers.
Q: Should I only trade stocks with RS Score above 70?
A: For long positions, yes - focus on 70+ scores. These stocks have proven they can beat their sector. However, for pairs trading or relative value plays, you might also short stocks with scores below 40 while longing stocks above 70.
Q: What if my stock doesn't have a sector?
A: The indicator handles this gracefully. If no sector is detected, it will compare directly to the market (SPY for stocks). Some rows may show N/A, but the indicator will still provide useful market-relative data.
Q: Why does the sector sometimes show N/A?
A: This happens when: 1) Your asset has no sector classification, 2) The stock IS the sector ETF itself, 3) You're analyzing a non-stock asset (crypto, forex, commodity). The indicator adapts by focusing on market-relative metrics instead.
Q: Can I use this on cryptocurrencies?
A: Yes! The indicator automatically detects crypto and compares to the Total Crypto Market Cap (CRYPTOCAP:TOTAL). You can also set a custom leader like Bitcoin (BTCUSD) to compare against the dominant crypto.
Q: What's the difference between RS Score and Consistency?
A: RS Score is the weighted average of how much you're beating the sector (magnitude). Consistency is what percentage of time periods show outperformance (reliability). You want both high - that means strong AND consistent.
Q: Do the alerts repaint?
A: No. All alerts fire only on bar close (barstate.isconfirmed) and use properly configured data with lookahead=off. Once an alert fires, it's final and won't change.
Q: What timeframe should I use?
A: For swing trading: Daily or Weekly. For day trading: 1H or 4H. For position trading: Weekly. Use "Chart Timeframe" mode and switch your chart timeframe to change the analysis period easily.
Q: Why is Days Above Sector showing 0?
A: This means your stock is not currently outperforming its sector. If Days Below Sector is also 0, it means the RS is exactly neutral (very rare). Check the actual RS values to see current standing.
Q: Can I compare to a different market benchmark than SPY?
A: Currently the indicator uses SPY (S&P 500) as the default US stock market benchmark. For crypto it uses CRYPTOCAP:TOTAL, for forex it uses currency indices, etc. The benchmark auto-adjusts based on asset type.
Q: What's a good Beta value?
A: It depends on your strategy. Aggressive traders prefer Beta above 1.2 (more volatility = bigger moves). Conservative traders prefer Beta 0.8-1.0 (more stable). Beta is neutral - it's about matching your risk tolerance.
Q: How often does the table update?
A: With Real-time Indicator enabled: Every tick (constant updates). With it disabled: Only on bar close. Either way, the underlying data is identical and non-repainting - the toggle only affects update frequency and the clock icon display.
Q: My stock is showing "AVOID" but it's up 50% this year. Is the indicator wrong?
A: Not necessarily. The indicator measures RELATIVE performance. If your stock is up 50% but the sector is up 100%, your stock is actually underperforming by 50%. The indicator helps you identify when you should switch to stronger stocks in the same sector.
Q: What does "Strong Buy Setup" really mean?
A: It means three things aligned: 1) RS Score above 70 (strong stock), 2) Consistency above 75% (reliable strength), 3) Sector rotation is bullish (hot sector). This combination historically correlates with stocks that continue outperforming. However, this is NOT financial advice - always do your own analysis.
Q: Can I use this for options trading?
A: Yes! High RS Score stocks make good candidates for call options (bullish bets) while low RS Score stocks may work for puts (bearish bets). Higher Beta stocks will have more volatile options (higher premiums but more movement).
Q: Why is my crypto showing N/A for sector?
A: Cryptocurrencies don't have "sectors" like stocks do. Instead, the indicator compares crypto to the total crypto market cap. This is normal and expected behavior.
Q: What happens if I'm analyzing an ETF?
A: If you're analyzing a sector ETF (like XLK), it will compare to SPY (market). If you're analyzing SPY itself, some comparisons won't be available (can't compare SPY to itself). The indicator intelligently adapts to avoid circular comparisons.
Q: What if my stock doesn't have industry data?
A: Not all stocks are mapped to specific industries (only 30+ major industries are covered). If no industry is detected, the indicator will still work using only sector analysis. The RS Score calculation will use 100% sector weight instead of the 60%/40% split.
Q: Why does Industry vs Sector matter?
A: Industry vs Sector shows if your specific industry is hot or cold within its broader sector. For example, Semiconductors (SMH) might be outperforming Technology sector (XLK) even though both are up. This helps you find not just strong sectors, but the strongest industries within those sectors.
Q: Can I disable Industry analysis?
A: Yes! In the "Industry Analysis" settings group, you can toggle off "Show Industry Analysis in Table" to hide all industry rows. However, even when hidden, industry data still contributes to the RS Score calculation for stocks.
Q: Why is my Consistency Score lower for stocks than other assets?
A: For stocks with industry data, Consistency counts 8 periods (4 Sector + 4 Industry periods) instead of just 4. This means the bar is higher - your stock needs to beat both sector AND industry consistently. A stock that beats sector in all 4 periods but lags industry in 2 periods will show 75% consistency (6/8), not 100%.
BEST PRACTICES
Use as a screening tool - Set RS Score filter to 70+ and quickly scan your watchlist. Only strong stocks will show the table.
Combine with technical analysis - RS Score tells you WHAT to trade, your chart tells you WHEN to enter.
Check multiple timeframes - Switch between Daily and Weekly to see if strength holds across different time horizons.
Monitor sector rotation - When sector goes from bearish to bullish rotation, it's often a great time to enter stocks in that sector.
Watch Industry vs Sector - Stocks in hot industries within hot sectors have double tailwinds. Prioritize Industry vs Sector positive values.
Pay attention to consistency - High RS Score with low consistency might be a spike that fades. Look for 70%+ consistency across BOTH sector and industry.
Use the leader comparison - If your stock consistently beats both sector leader AND industry leader, you may have found the next champion.
Watch days above/below sector - Long streaks (15+ days) indicate strong trends. Look for these in conjunction with high RS Score.
Set alerts on key stocks - Enable RS Score alerts at 70 threshold to get notified when watchlist stocks become strong.
Consider Beta for position sizing - Size smaller positions in high Beta stocks, larger in low Beta stocks for balanced risk.
Exit when RS Score drops - If a stock's RS Score falls below 60, consider reducing or exiting - the strength may be fading.
Leverage industry-level insight - If Industry ETF is weak but stock is strong, that's standout strength. If Industry is hot but stock is lagging, consider switching to the industry leader instead.

WHAT THIS INDICATOR DOESN'T DO
To set proper expectations:
Does NOT provide entry/exit signals - this is a strength analyzer, not a trading system
Does NOT predict future price movement - shows current and historical relative strength
Does NOT guarantee profits - strong RS stocks can still decline
Does NOT replace your own analysis - use as one tool among many
Does NOT work on stocks with no sector data - will adapt but some rows show N/A
This indicator is a decision support tool . It helps you identify which stocks are showing relative strength so you can make more informed trading decisions. You still need your own entry strategy, risk management, and position sizing rules.

FINAL REMINDER
This indicator is a tool for analyzing relative strength - it shows you which stocks are outperforming their sector and market. It does NOT provide financial advice or trade signals. Always conduct your own research, manage your risk appropriately, and consult with a financial advisor before making investment decisions.
Past performance of relative strength does not guarantee future results. Strong stocks can become weak, and sectors rotate in and out of favor. Use this indicator as part of a comprehensive trading strategy, not as a standalone decision-making system.

Trade The Matric / MACD-RSI Hybrid Candles**"MACD-RSI Hybrid Candles"** is a **custom TradingView Pine Script (v6)** indicator that **replaces your chart’s default candles** with **dynamically colored, intensity-adjusted candles** based on **combined MACD and RSI signals**.
It’s a **visual fusion** of:
- **MACD Histogram** → Momentum & Trend Strength
- **RSI** → Overbought/Oversold & Trend Confirmation
- **Dynamic Transparency** → Visualizes **signal strength**
The result? **At-a-glance confirmation of bullish/bearish phases** — no need to check subcharts.
---
## OVERVIEW: What This Indicator Does
| Feature | Purpose |
|-------|--------|
| **Replaces price candles** | Entire chart becomes a **live MACD-RSI signal map** |
| **Colors based on dual confirmation** | Only strong when **both** MACD and RSI agree |
| **Transparency = momentum intensity** | Brighter = stronger signal |
| **Labels & Alerts** | Highlights **phase changes** (bullish/bearish shifts) |
---
## USER INPUTS (Customizable)
| Input | Default | Description |
|------|--------|-----------|
| `fastLen` | 12 | MACD Fast EMA |
| `slowLen` | 26 | MACD Slow EMA |
| `signalLen` | 9 | MACD Signal Line |
| `rsiLen` | 14 | RSI Period |
| `showLabels` | true | Show "Bullish Phase" / "Bearish Phase" labels |
> Standard settings — tweak for sensitivity.
---
## CORE CALCULATIONS
### 1. **MACD**
```pinescript
macdLine = ta.ema(close, fastLen) - ta.ema(close, slowLen)
signalLine = ta.ema(macdLine, signalLen)
hist = macdLine - signalLine
```
- `hist > 0` → **Bullish momentum**
- `hist < 0` → **Bearish momentum**
### 2. **RSI**
```pinescript
rsi = ta.rsi(close, rsiLen)
```
- `rsi > 50` → **Bullish bias**
- `rsi < 50` → **Bearish bias**
---
## DUAL CONFIRMATION LOGIC
| Condition | Meaning |
|--------|--------|
| `bullCond = macdBull and rsiBull` | **MACD hist > 0** AND **RSI > 50** → **Confirmed Bullish** |
| `bearCond = macdBear and rsiBear` | **MACD hist < 0** AND **RSI < 50** → **Confirmed Bearish** |
| Otherwise | **Neutral / Conflicted** |
> Only **strong, aligned signals** get bright colors.
---
## DYNAMIC INTENSITY & TRANSPARENCY (Key Feature)
```pinescript
maxHist = ta.highest(math.abs(hist), 100)
intensity = math.abs(hist) / maxHist
transp = 90 - (intensity * 80)
```
### How It Works:
1. Finds **strongest MACD histogram value** in last 100 bars
2. Compares **current histogram** to that peak → `intensity` (0 to 1)
3. **Transparency scales from 90 (faint) → 10 (bright)**
| Intensity | Transparency | Visual Effect |
|---------|--------------|-------------|
| 0% (weak) | 90 | Almost transparent |
| 50% | 50 | Medium |
| 100% | 10 | **Vivid, bold candle** |
> **Brighter candle = stronger momentum relative to recent history**
---
## CANDLE COLOR LOGIC
| Condition | Candle & Wick Color | Transparency |
|--------|---------------------|------------|
| **Confirmed Bullish** (`bullCond`) | **Lime Green** | Dynamic (10–90) |
| **Confirmed Bearish** (`bearCond`) | **Red** | Dynamic (10–90) |
| **Neutral / Conflicted** | **Gray** | Fixed 80 (faint) |
> **Wicks and borders match body** → full candle takeover
---
## VISUAL OUTPUT
### 1. **Custom Candles**
```pinescript
plotcandle(open, high, low, close, color=barColor, wickcolor=barColor, bordercolor=barColor)
```
- **Replaces default chart candles**
- **No original candles visible**
### 2. **Labels (Optional)**
- **"Bullish Phase"** → Green label **below low** when:
- MACD histogram **crosses above zero**
- AND RSI **> 50**
- **"Bearish Phase"** → Red label **above high** when:
- MACD histogram **crosses below zero**
- AND RSI **< 50**
> Up to **500 labels** (`max_labels_count=500`)
---
## ALERTS (Built-In)
| Alert | Trigger |
|------|--------|
| **Bullish MACD-RSI Signal** | `ta.crossover(hist, 0) and rsi > 50` |
| **Bearish MACD-RSI Signal** | `ta.crossunder(hist, 0) and rsi < 50` |
> Message: *"MACD crossed above zero with RSI > 50 — Bullish phase."*
---
## HOW TO READ THE CHART
| Visual | Market State | Interpretation |
|-------|-------------|----------------|
| **Bright Lime Candles** | **Strong Bullish Momentum** | High conviction — trend accelerating |
| **Faint Lime Candles** | **Weak Bullish** | Momentum present but not strong |
| **Bright Red Candles** | **Strong Bearish Momentum** | Downtrend with power |
| **Faint Red Candles** | **Weak Bearish** | Selling pressure, but fading |
| **Gray Candles** | **Conflicted / Choppy** | MACD and RSI disagree — avoid |
| **"Bullish Phase" Label** | **New Uptrend Starting** | Entry signal |
| **"Bearish Phase" Label** | **New Downtrend Starting** | Short signal |
---
## TRADING STRATEGY (Example)
### **Long Entry**
1. Wait for **"Bullish Phase" label**
2. Confirm **bright lime candles** (intensity > 50%)
3. Enter on **pullback to support** or **breakout**
4. **Stop Loss**: Below recent swing low
5. **Take Profit**: Trail with EMA or at resistance
### **Short Entry**
1. Wait for **"Bearish Phase" label**
2. Confirm **bright red candles**
3. Enter on **rally to resistance**
> **Best in trending markets** — avoid choppy ranges.
---
## UNIQUE FEATURES
| Feature | Benefit |
|-------|--------|
| **Dual Confirmation** | Avoids false MACD signals in overbought/oversold zones |
| **Dynamic Transparency** | Shows **relative strength** — not just direction |
| **Full Candle Replacement** | Clean, uncluttered chart |
| **Phase Labels** | Marks **exact trend change points** |
| **Built-in Alerts** | No extra setup needed |
---
## LIMITATIONS
| Issue | Note |
|------|------|
| **Lagging by design** | MACD & RSI are reactive |
| **Repainting?** | **No** — all on close |
| **No volume filter** | Add separately for better accuracy |
| **Labels can clutter** | Toggle off in choppy markets |
| **Intensity uses 100-bar lookback** | May lag in very long trends |
---

Range Oscillator Strategy + Stoch Confirm🔹 Short summary
This is a free, educational long-only strategy built on top of the public “Range Oscillator” by Zeiierman (used under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), combined with a Stochastic timing filter, an EMA-based exit filter and an optional risk-management layer (SL/TP and R-multiple exits). It is NOT financial advice and it is NOT a magic money machine. It’s a structured framework to study how range-expansion + momentum + trend slope can be combined into one rule-based system, often with intentionally RARE trades.
────────────────────────
0. Legal / risk disclaimer
────────────────────────
• This script is FREE and public. I do not charge any fee for it.
• It is for EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
• It is NOT financial advice and does NOT guarantee profits.
• Backtest results can be very different from live results.
• Markets change over time; past performance is NOT indicative of future performance.
• You are fully responsible for your own trades and risk.
Please DO NOT use this script with money you cannot afford to lose. Always start in a demo / paper trading environment and make sure you understand what the logic does before you risk any capital.
────────────────────────
1. About default settings and risk (very important)
────────────────────────
The script is configured with the following defaults in the `strategy()` declaration:
• `initial_capital = 10000`
→ This is only an EXAMPLE account size.
• `default_qty_type = strategy.percent_of_equity`
• `default_qty_value = 100`
→ This means 100% of equity per trade in the default properties.
→ This is AGGRESSIVE and should be treated as a STRESS TEST of the logic, not as a realistic way to trade.
TradingView’s House Rules recommend risking only a small part of equity per trade (often 1–2%, max 5–10% in most cases). To align with these recommendations and to get more realistic backtest results, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you to:
1. Open **Strategy Settings → Properties**.
2. Set:
• Order size: **Percent of equity**
• Order size (percent): e.g. **1–2%** per trade
3. Make sure **commission** and **slippage** match your own broker conditions.
• By default this script uses `commission_value = 0.1` (0.1%) and `slippage = 3`, which are reasonable example values for many crypto markets.
If you choose to run the strategy with 100% of equity per trade, please treat it ONLY as a stress-test of the logic. It is NOT a sustainable risk model for live trading.
────────────────────────
2. What this strategy tries to do (conceptual overview)
────────────────────────
This is a LONG-ONLY strategy designed to explore the combination of:
1. **Range Oscillator (Zeiierman-based)**
- Measures how far price has moved away from an adaptive mean.
- Uses an ATR-based range to normalize deviation.
- High positive oscillator values indicate strong price expansion away from the mean in a bullish direction.
2. **Stochastic as a timing filter**
- A classic Stochastic (%K and %D) is used.
- The logic requires %K to be below a user-defined level and then crossing above %D.
- This is intended to catch moments when momentum turns up again, rather than chasing every extreme.
3. **EMA Exit Filter (trend slope)**
- An EMA with configurable length (default 70) is calculated.
- The slope of the EMA is monitored: when the slope turns negative while in a long position, and the filter is enabled, it triggers an exit condition.
- This acts as a trend-protection exit: if the medium-term trend starts to weaken, the strategy exits even if the oscillator has not yet fully reverted.
4. **Optional risk-management layer**
- Percentage-based Stop Loss and Take Profit (SL/TP).
- Risk/Reward (R-multiple) exit based on the distance from entry to SL.
- Implemented as OCO orders that work *on top* of the logical exits.
The goal is not to create a “holy grail” system but to serve as a transparent, configurable framework for studying how these concepts behave together on different markets and timeframes.
────────────────────────
3. Components and how they work together
────────────────────────
(1) Range Oscillator (based on “Range Oscillator (Zeiierman)”)
• The script computes a weighted mean price and then measures how far price deviates from that mean.
• Deviation is normalized by an ATR-based range and expressed as an oscillator.
• When the oscillator is above the **entry threshold** (default 100), it signals a strong move away from the mean in the bullish direction.
• When it later drops below the **exit threshold** (default 30), it can trigger an exit (if enabled).
(2) Stochastic confirmation
• Classic Stochastic (%K and %D) is calculated.
• An entry requires:
- %K to be below a user-defined “Cross Level”, and
- then %K to cross above %D.
• This is a momentum confirmation: the strategy tries to enter when momentum turns up from a pullback rather than at any random point.
(3) EMA Exit Filter
• The EMA length is configurable via `emaLength` (default 70).
• The script monitors the EMA slope: it computes the relative change between the current EMA and the previous EMA.
• If the slope turns negative while the strategy holds a long position and the filter is enabled, it triggers an exit condition.
• This is meant to help protect profits or cut losses when the medium-term trend starts to roll over, even if the oscillator conditions are not (yet) signalling exit.
(4) Risk management (optional)
• Stop Loss (SL) and Take Profit (TP):
- Defined as percentages relative to average entry price.
- Both are disabled by default, but you can enable them in the Inputs.
• Risk/Reward Exit:
- Uses the distance from entry to SL to project a profit target at a configurable R-multiple.
- Also optional and disabled by default.
These exits are implemented as `strategy.exit()` OCO orders and can close trades independently of oscillator/EMA conditions if hit first.
────────────────────────
4. Entry & Exit logic (high level)
────────────────────────
A) Time filter
• You can choose a **Start Year** in the Inputs.
• Only candles between the selected start date and 31 Dec 2069 are used for backtesting (`timeCondition`).
• This prevents accidental use of tiny cherry-picked windows and makes tests more honest.
B) Entry condition (long-only)
A long entry is allowed when ALL the following are true:
1. `timeCondition` is true (inside the backtest window).
2. If `useOscEntry` is true:
- Range Oscillator value must be above `entryLevel`.
3. If `useStochEntry` is true:
- Stochastic condition (`stochCondition`) must be true:
- %K < `crossLevel`, then %K crosses above %D.
If these filters agree, the strategy calls `strategy.entry("Long", strategy.long)`.
C) Exit condition (logical exits)
A position can be closed when:
1. `timeCondition` is true AND a long position is open, AND
2. At least one of the following is true:
- If `useOscExit` is true: Oscillator is below `exitLevel`.
- If `useMagicExit` (EMA Exit Filter) is true: EMA slope is negative (`isDown = true`).
In that case, `strategy.close("Long")` is called.
D) Risk-management exits
While a position is open:
• If SL or TP is enabled:
- `strategy.exit("Long Risk", ...)` places an OCO stop/limit order based on the SL/TP percentages.
• If Risk/Reward exit is enabled:
- `strategy.exit("RR Exit", ...)` places an OCO order using a projected R-multiple (`rrMult`) of the SL distance.
These risk-based exits can trigger before the logical oscillator/EMA exits if price hits those levels.
────────────────────────
5. Recommended backtest configuration (to avoid misleading results)
────────────────────────
To align with TradingView House Rules and avoid misleading backtests:
1. **Initial capital**
- 10 000 (or any value you personally want to work with).
2. **Order size**
- Type: **Percent of equity**
- Size: **1–2%** per trade is a reasonable starting point.
- Avoid risking more than 5–10% per trade if you want results that could be sustainable in practice.
3. **Commission & slippage**
- Commission: around 0.1% if that matches your broker.
- Slippage: a few ticks (e.g. 3) to account for real fills.
4. **Timeframe & markets**
- Volatile symbols (e.g. crypto like BTCUSDT, or major indices).
- Timeframes: 1H / 4H / **1D (Daily)** are typical starting points.
- I strongly recommend trying the strategy on **different timeframes**, for example 1D, to see how the behaviour changes between intraday and higher timeframes.
5. **No “caution warning”**
- Make sure your chosen symbol + timeframe + settings do not trigger TradingView’s caution messages.
- If you see warnings (e.g. “too few trades”), adjust timeframe/symbol or the backtest period.
────────────────────────
5a. About low trade count and rare signals
────────────────────────
This strategy is intentionally designed to trade RARELY:
• It is **long-only**.
• It uses strict filters (Range Oscillator threshold + Stochastic confirmation + optional EMA Exit Filter).
• On higher timeframes (especially **1D / Daily**) this can result in a **low total number of trades**, sometimes WELL BELOW 100 trades over the whole backtest.
TradingView’s House Rules mention 100+ trades as a guideline for more robust statistics. In this specific case:
• The **low trade count is a conscious design choice**, not an attempt to cherry-pick a tiny, ultra-profitable window.
• The goal is to study a **small number of high-conviction long entries** on higher timeframes, not to generate frequent intraday signals.
• Because of the low trade count, results should NOT be interpreted as statistically strong or “proven” – they are only one sample of how this logic would have behaved on past data.
Please keep this in mind when you look at the equity curve and performance metrics. A beautiful curve with only a handful of trades is still just a small sample.
────────────────────────
6. How to use this strategy (step-by-step)
────────────────────────
1. Add the script to your chart.
2. Open the **Inputs** tab:
- Set the backtest start year.
- Decide whether to use Oscillator-based entry/exit, Stochastic confirmation, and EMA Exit Filter.
- Optionally enable SL, TP, and Risk/Reward exits.
3. Open the **Properties** tab:
- Set a realistic account size if you want.
- Set order size to a realistic % of equity (e.g. 1–2%).
- Confirm that commission and slippage are realistic for your broker.
4. Run the backtest:
- Look at Net Profit, Max Drawdown, number of trades, and equity curve.
- Remember that a low trade count means the statistics are not very strong.
5. Experiment:
- Tweak thresholds (`entryLevel`, `exitLevel`), Stochastic settings, EMA length, and risk params.
- See how the metrics and trade frequency change.
6. Forward-test:
- Before using any idea in live trading, forward-test on a demo account and observe behaviour in real time.
────────────────────────
7. Originality and usefulness (why this is more than a mashup)
────────────────────────
This script is not intended to be a random visual mashup of indicators. It is designed as a coherent, testable strategy with clear roles for each component:
• Range Oscillator:
- Handles mean vs. range-expansion states via an adaptive, ATR-normalized metric.
• Stochastic:
- Acts as a timing filter to avoid entering purely on extremes and instead waits for momentum to turn.
• EMA Exit Filter:
- Trend-slope-based safety net to exit when the medium-term direction changes against the position.
• Risk module:
- Provides practical, rule-based exits: SL, TP, and R-multiple exit, which are useful for structuring risk even if you modify the core logic.
It aims to give traders a ready-made **framework to study and modify**, not a black box or “signals” product.
────────────────────────
8. Limitations and good practices
────────────────────────
• No single strategy works on all markets or in all regimes.
• This script is long-only; it does not short the market.
• Performance can degrade when market structure changes.
• Overfitting (curve fitting) is a real risk if you endlessly tweak parameters to maximise historical profit.
Good practices:
- Test on multiple symbols and timeframes.
- Focus on stability and drawdown, not only on how high the profit line goes.
- View this as a learning tool and a basis for your own research.
────────────────────────

11. Example backtest settings used in screenshots
────────────────────────
To avoid any confusion about how the results shown in screenshots were produced, here is one concrete example configuration:
• Symbol: BTCUSDT (or similar major BTC pair)
• Timeframe: 1D (Daily)
• Backtest period: from 2018 to the most recent data
• Initial capital: 10 000
• Order size type: Percent of equity
• Order size: 2% per trade
• Commission: 0.1%
• Slippage: 3 ticks
• Risk settings: Stop Loss and Take Profit disabled by default, Risk/Reward exit disabled by default
• Filters: Range Oscillator entry/exit enabled, Stochastic confirmation enabled, EMA Exit Filter enabled
If you change any of these settings (symbol, timeframe, risk per trade, commission, slippage, filters, etc.), your results will look different. Please always adapt the configuration to your own risk tolerance, market, and trading style.
Dashboard — Vol & PriceDashboard for traders
Indicator Description
1. Prev Day High
What it shows: the previous trading day's high.
Why it shows: a resistance level. Many traders watch to see if the price will hold above or below this level. A breakout can signal buying strength.
2. Prev Day Low
What it shows: the previous day's low.
Why it shows: a support level. If the price breaks downwards, it signals weakness and a possible continuation of the decline.
3. Today
What it shows:
The difference between the current price and yesterday's close (in absolute values and as a percentage).
Color: green for an increase, red for a decrease.
Why it shows: immediately shows how strong a gap or movement is today relative to yesterday. This is an indicator of current momentum.
4. ADR, % (Average Daily Range)
What it shows: Average daily range (High – Low), expressed as a percentage of the closing price, for the selected period (default 7 days).
Why it's useful: To understand the "normal" volatility of an instrument. For example, if the ADR is 3%, then a 1% move is small, while a 6% move is very large.
5. ATR (Average True Range)
What it shows: Average fluctuation range (including gaps), in absolute points, for the specified period (default 7 days).
Why it's useful: A classic volatility indicator. Useful for setting stops, calculating position sizes, and identifying "noise" movements.
6. ATR (Today), %
What it shows: How much the current movement today (from yesterday's close to the current price) represents in % of the average ATR.
Why it shows: Shows whether the instrument has "played out" its average range. If the value is already >100%, there is a high probability that the movement will begin to slow.
7. Vol (Today)
What it shows:
Current trading volume for the day (in millions/billions).
Comparison with yesterday as a percentage (for example: 77.32M (-52.78%)).
Color: green if the volume is higher than yesterday; red if lower.
Why it shows:Quickly shows whether the market is active today. Volume = fuel for price movement.
8. Avg Vol (20d)
What it shows: Average daily volume over the last 20 trading days.
Why it's useful:"normal" activity level. It's a convenient backdrop for assessing today's turnover.
9. Rel. Vol (Today), % (Relative Volume)
What it shows: Deviation of the current volume from the average (20 days).
Formula: `(today / average - 1)` * 100`.
+30% = volume 30% above average, -40% = 40% below average.
Color: green for +, red for –.
Why it's useful:A key indicator for a trader. If RelVol > 100% (green), the market is "charged," and the movement is more significant. If low, activity is weak and movements are less reliable.
10. Normalized RS (Relative Strength)
What it shows: the relative strength of a stock to a selected benchmark (e.g., SPY), normalized by the period (default 7 days).
100 = same result as the market.
> 100 = the stock is stronger than the index.
<100 = weaker than the index.
Why it's needed: filtering ideas. Strong stocks rise faster when the market rises, weak stocks fall more sharply. This helps trade in the direction of the trend and select the best candidates.
In summary:
Prev High / Low — key support and resistance levels.
Today — an instant understanding of the current momentum.
ADR and ATR — volatility and potential movement.
ATR (Today) — how much the instrument has already "run."
Vol + Rel.Vol — activity and confirmation of the movement's strength.
RS — selecting strong/weak leaders against the market.

The indicator automatically parses this and knows which strategy type you selected.
You can also control:
Visuals (profit zones, breakevens, labels)
Risk (stop loss %, adjustment zones)
Account/risk sizing
Market conditions (IV Rank, current IV, DTE)
⚙️ 3. Data Parsing & Strategy Recognition
The code reads your pasted string, splits it by commas, and determines:
Which strikes are short vs long (or wings/body for Butterfly)
Whether the strategy is credit (Iron Condor) or debit (Butterfly)
Calculates net credit/debit, contract size, and profit target
📈 4. Profit/Loss Calculations
It dynamically calculates:
Max Profit
Iron Condor: net credit × 100 × contracts
Butterfly: (wing width − debit) × 100 × contracts
Max Loss
Iron Condor: difference between strikes minus credit
Butterfly: debit × 100 × contracts
Breakeven points
Iron Condor: short strikes ± net credit
Butterfly: body ± debit
Current P&L relative to the live price (close).
⚖️ 5. Risk & Position Sizing
It checks:
Stop-loss trigger (% of max loss)
Adjustment alert if price nears short strikes
Recommended contract size based on account size and % risk per trade
Actual % of account at risk
⏱️ 6. Time Decay & IV Analysis
If you input days to expiration, it shows:
Theta (approx daily time decay)
Decay progress bar (% of 30-day cycle)
IV condition:
Green: favorable (>50 IV Rank)
Yellow: neutral (30–50)
Red: poor (<30)
🧮 7. Trade Scoring
It gives a Trade Score (0–100) based on:
IV Rank (favorable market)

Simulated Fear & Greed (CNN-calibrated v2)🧭 Fear & Greed Index — TradingView Version (Simulated CNN Model)
🔍 Purpose
The Fear & Greed Index is a sentiment indicator that quantifies market emotion on a scale from 0 to 100, where:
0 represents Extreme Fear (capitulation, oversold conditions), and
100 represents Extreme Greed (euphoria, overbought conditions).
It helps traders assess whether the market is driven by fear (risk aversion) or greed (risk appetite) — giving a high-level view of potential turning points in market sentiment.
⚙️ How It Works in TradingView
Because TradingView cannot directly access CNN’s or alternative external sentiment feeds, this indicator simulates the Fear & Greed Index by analyzing in-chart technical data that reflect investor psychology.
It uses a multi-factor model, converting price and volume signals into a composite sentiment score.
🧩 Components Used (Simulated Metrics)
Category Metric Emotional Interpretation
Volatility ATR (Average True Range) High ATR = Fear, Low ATR = Greed
Momentum RSI + MACD Histogram Rising momentum = Greed, Falling = Fear
Volume Activity Volume Z-Score High positive deviation = Greed, Low = Fear
Trend Context SMA Regime Bias (50/200) Downtrend adds Fear penalty, Uptrend supports Greed
These elements are normalized into a 0–100 scale using percentile ranks (like statistical scoring) and then combined using user-adjustable weights.
⚖️ CNN-Style Calibration
The script follows CNN’s five sentiment bands for clarity:
Range Zone Colour Description
0–25 Extreme Fear 🔴 Red Panic, forced selling, capitulation risk
25–45 Fear 🟠 Orange Uncertainty, hesitation, early accumulation phase
45–55 Neutral ⚪ Gray Balanced sentiment, indecision
55–75 Greed 🟢 Light Green Optimism, trend continuation
75–100 Extreme Greed 💚 Bright Green Euphoria, risk of reversal
This structure aligns visually with CNN’s public gauge, making it easy to interpret.
Fear–Greed Index📈 Fear–Greed Index
This indicator provides a sophisticated, multi-faceted measure of market sentiment, plotting it as an oscillator that ranges from -100 (Extreme Fear) to +100 (Extreme Greed).
Unlike standard indicators like RSI or MACD, this tool is built on principles from behavioral finance and social physics to model the complex psychology of the market. It does not use any of TradingView's built-in math functions and instead calculates everything from scratch.
🤔 How It Works: The Three-Model Approach
The final index is a comprehensive blend of three different academic models, each calculated across three distinct time horizons (Short, Mid, and Long) to capture sentiment at different scales.
Prospect Theory (CPT): This model, based on Nobel Prize-winning work, evaluates how traders perceive gains and losses. It assumes that the pain of a loss is felt more strongly than the pleasure of an equal gain, modeling the market's asymmetric emotional response.
Herding (Brock–Durlauf): This component measures the "follow the crowd" instinct. It analyzes the synchronization of positive and negative returns to determine if traders are acting in a coordinated, "herd-like" manner, which is a classic sign of building fear or greed.
Social Impact Theory (SIT): This model assesses how social forces influence market participants.
It combines three factors:
Strength (S): The magnitude of recent price moves (volatility).
Immediacy (I): How recently the most significant price action occurred.
Number (N): The level of market participation (volume).
The indicator calculates all three models for a Short, Mid, and Long lookback period. It then aggregates these nine components (3 models x 3 timeframes) using customizable weights to produce a single, final Fear–Greed Index value.
Interpretar How to Read the Index
Main Line: This is the final FGI score.
Lime/Green: Indicates Greed (positive values).
Red: Indicates Fear (negative values).
Fading Color: The color becomes more transparent as the index approaches the '0' (Neutral) line, and more solid as it moves toward the extremes.
Key Zones:
+100 to +30 (Extreme Greed): The market is highly euphoric and potentially overbought. This can be a contrarian signal for caution or profit-taking.
+30 to +18 (Greed Zone): Strong bullish sentiment.
+18 to -18 (Neutral Zone): The market is undecided, or fear and greed are in balance.
-18 to -30 (Fear Zone): Strong bearish sentiment.
-30 to -100 (Extreme Fear): The market is in a state of panic and may be oversold. This can be a contrarian signal for potential buying opportunities.
Reference Plots: The indicator also plots the aggregated scores for each of the three models (Herding, Prospect, and SIT) as faint, secondary lines. This allows you to see which component is driving the overall sentiment.
⚙️ Settings & Customization
This indicator is highly tunable, allowing you to adjust its sensitivity and component makeup.
Time Windows:
Short window: Lookback period for short-term sentiment.
Mid window: Lookback for medium-term sentiment.
Long window: Lookback for long-term sentiment.
Model Aggregation Weights:
Weight CPT, Weight Herding, Weight SIT: Control how much each of the three behavioral models contributes to the final score (they should sum to 1.0).
Cross-Horizon Weights:
Weight Short, Weight Mid, Weight Long: Control the influence of each timeframe on the final score (they should also sum to 1.0).
EMA100 Breakout by shubhThis indicator is a clean, price-action-based breakout system designed for disciplined trend trading on any timeframe — especially for Nifty and Bank Nifty spot, futures, and options charts.
It uses a single 100-period EMA to define trend direction and waits for decisive candle closes across the EMA to trigger potential entries.
The logic ensures only one active trade at a time, enforcing patience and clarity in decision-making.

Fixed High Timeframe Moving AveragesFixed High Timeframe Moving Averages (W/D/4H)
Summary
This indicator plots essential, high-timeframe (HTF) Moving Averages onto your chart, **no matter which timeframe you are currently viewing**.
It is designed for traders who need multi-timeframe context at a glance. Stop switching charts to see where the 200-Week or 50-Day MA is—now you can see all critical HTF levels directly on your 5-minute (or any other) chart.
---
Who it’s for
Traders who rely on moving averages but like to work on lower chart timeframes while keeping higher timeframe context in sight. If you scalp on 1–15m yet want Weekly/Daily/4H MAs always visible, this is for you.
---
What it shows
Pinned (“fixed”) moving averages from higher timeframes—Weekly (20/100/200) , Daily (50/100/200/365) and 4H (200) —rendered on any chart timeframe. Your favorite HTF MAs stay on screen no matter what TF you’re currently analyzing.
---
Features
* **MA types:** SMA, EMA, VWMA, Hull.
* **Fully configurable:** toggle each line, set periods, colors, and thickness.
* **Two alert modes (see below):** intrabar vs confirmed HTF close.
* **Works on any symbol & chart TF** using `request.security` to fetch HTF data.
---
Alerts & Modes
This indicator solves the biggest problem with MTF alerts: false signals. You can choose one of two modes:
1. **Intrabar mode** — compares current chart price to the HTF MA. Triggers as soon as price crosses the HTF line; great for early signals but may update until the HTF bar closes.
2. **Confirmed mode** — checks HTF close vs HTF MA. Signals only on the higher-TF bar close; fewer false starts, no intrabar repainting on that TF.
Per-line *Cross Above / Cross Below* conditions are provided for all enabled MAs (e.g., “20W — Cross Above”, “365D — Cross Below”, etc.).
**How to use alerts:** add the script → “Create Alert” → pick any condition from the script’s list.
---
Why this helps
* Keeps Weekly/Daily structure visible while you execute on LTF.
* Classic anchors (e.g., 200D, 20W/100W/200W) are popular for trend bias, dynamic support/resistance, and pullback context.
* Lets you standardize MA references across all your lower-TF playbooks.
---
Notes on confirmation & repainting
* Intrabar signals can change until the higher-TF bar closes (that’s expected with multi-TF data).
* Confirmed mode waits for the HTF close—cleaner, but later. Choose what fits your workflow.
---
Quick setup
1. Pick `MA Type` (SMA/EMA/VWMA/Hull).
2. Enable the HTF lines you want (Weekly 20/100/200; Daily 50/100/200/365; 4H 200).
3. Choose `Alert Mode` (Intrabar vs Confirmed).
4. Style colors/widths to taste and set alerts on the lines you care about.
---
Good practice
* Combine HTF MAs with price action (swings, structure, liquidity grabs) rather than using them in isolation.
* Always validate signals in your execution TF and use a risk plan tailored to volatility.
* Protect your capital: position sizing, stops, and disciplined risk management matter more than any single line on the chart.

Trend Catch STFR - whipsaw Reduced### Summary of the Setup
This trading system combines **SuperTrend** (a trend-following indicator based on ATR for dynamic support/resistance), **Range Filter** (a smoothed median of the last 100 candles to identify price position relative to a baseline), and filters using **VIX Proxy** (a volatility measure: (14-period ATR / 14-period SMA of Close) × 100) and **ADX** (Average Directional Index for trend strength). It's designed for trend trading with volatility safeguards.
- **Entries**: Triggered only in "tradeable" markets (VIX Proxy ≥ 15 OR ADX ≥ 20) when SuperTrend aligns with direction (green for long, red for short), price crosses the Range Filter median accordingly, and you're not already in that position.
- **Exits**: Purely price-based—exit when SuperTrend flips or price crosses back over the Range Filter median. No forced exits from low volatility/trend.
- **No Trade Zone**: Blocks new entries if both VIX Proxy < 15 AND ADX < 20, but doesn't affect open positions.
- **Overall Goal**: Enter trends with confirmed strength/volatility, ride them via price action, and avoid ranging/choppy markets for new trades.
This creates a filtered trend-following strategy that prioritizes quality entries while letting winners run.
### Advantages
- **Reduces Noise in Entries**: The VIX Proxy and ADX filters ensure trades only in volatile or strongly trending conditions, avoiding low-momentum periods that often lead to false signals.
- **Lets Winners Run**: Exits based solely on price reversal (SuperTrend or Range Filter) allow positions to stay open during temporary lulls in volatility/trend, potentially capturing longer moves.
- **Simple and Balanced**: Combines trend (SuperTrend/ADX), range (Filter), and volatility (VIX Proxy) without overcomplicating—easy to backtest and adapt to assets like stocks, forex, or crypto.
- **Adaptable to Markets**: The "OR" logic for VIX/ADX provides flexibility (e.g., enters volatile sideways markets if ADX is low, or steady trends if VIX is low).
- **Risk Control**: Implicitly limits exposure by blocking entries in calm markets, which can preserve capital during uncertainty.
### Disadvantages
- **Whipsaws in Choppy Markets**: As you noted, SuperTrend can flip frequently in ranging conditions, leading to quick entries/exits and small losses, especially if the Range Filter isn't smoothing enough noise.
- **Missed Opportunities**: Strict filters (e.g., requiring VIX ≥ 15 or ADX ≥ 20) might skip early-stage trends or low-volatility grinds, reducing trade frequency and potential profits in quiet bull/bear markets.
- **Lagging Exits**: Relying only on price flips means you might hold losing trades longer if volatility drops without a clear reversal, increasing drawdowns.
- **Parameter Sensitivity**: Values like VIX 15, ADX 20, or Range Filter's 100-candle lookback need tuning per asset/timeframe; poor choices could amplify whipsaws or over-filter.
- **No Built-in Risk Management**: Lacks explicit stops/targets, so it relies on user-added rules (e.g., ATR-based stops), which could lead to oversized losses if not implemented.
### How to Use It
This system can be implemented in platforms like TradingView (via Pine Script), Python (e.g., with TA-Lib or Pandas), or MT4/5. Here's a step-by-step guide, assuming TradingView for simplicity—adapt as needed. (If coding in Python, use libraries like pandas_ta for indicators.)
1. **Set Up Indicators**:
- Add SuperTrend (default: ATR period 10, multiplier 3—adjust as suggested in prior tweaks).
- Create Range Filter: Use a 100-period SMA of (high + low)/2, smoothed (e.g., via EMA if desired).
- Calculate VIX Proxy: Custom script for (ATR(14) / SMA(close, 14)) * 100.
- Add ADX (period 14, standard).
2. **Define Rules in Code/Script**:
- **Long Entry**: If SuperTrend direction < 0 (green), close > RangeFilterMedian, (VIX Proxy ≥ 15 OR ADX ≥ 20), and not already long—buy on bar close.
- **Short Entry**: If SuperTrend direction > 0 (red), close < RangeFilterMedian, (VIX Proxy ≥ 15 OR ADX ≥ 20), and not already short—sell short.
- **Exit Long**: If in long and (SuperTrend > 0 OR close < RangeFilterMedian)—sell.
- **Exit Short**: If in short and (SuperTrend < 0 OR close > RangeFilterMedian)—cover.
- Monitor No Trade Zone visually (e.g., plot yellow background when VIX < 15 AND ADX < 20).
3. **Backtest and Optimize**:
- Use historical data on your asset (e.g., SPY on 1H chart).
- Test metrics: Win rate, profit factor, max drawdown. Adjust thresholds (e.g., ADX to 25) to reduce whipsaws.
- Forward-test on demo account to validate.
4. **Live Trading**:
- Apply to a chart, set alerts for entries/exits.
- Add risk rules: Position size 1-2% of capital, stop-loss at SuperTrend line.
- Monitor manually or automate via bots—avoid overtrading; use on trending assets.
For the adjustments I suggested earlier (e.g., ADX 25, 2-bar confirmation), integrate them into entries only—test one at a time to isolate improvements. If whipsaws persist, combine 2-3 tweaks.
Mean Reversion Oscillator [Alpha Extract]An advanced composite oscillator system specifically designed to identify extreme market conditions and high-probability mean reversion opportunities, combining five proven oscillators into a single, powerful analytical framework.
By integrating multiple momentum and volume-based indicators with sophisticated extreme level detection, this oscillator provides precise entry signals for contrarian trading strategies while filtering out false reversals through momentum confirmation.
🔶 Multi-Oscillator Composite Framework
Utilizes a comprehensive approach that combines Bollinger %B, RSI, Stochastic, Money Flow Index, and Williams %R into a unified composite score. This multi-dimensional analysis ensures robust signal generation by capturing different aspects of market extremes and momentum shifts.
// Weighted composite (equal weights)
normalized_bb = bb_percent
normalized_rsi = rsi
normalized_stoch = stoch_d_val
normalized_mfi = mfi
normalized_williams = williams_r
composite_raw = (normalized_bb + normalized_rsi + normalized_stoch + normalized_mfi + normalized_williams) / 5
composite = ta.sma(composite_raw, composite_smooth)
🔶 Advanced Extreme Level Detection
Features a sophisticated dual-threshold system that distinguishes between moderate and extreme market conditions. This hierarchical approach allows traders to identify varying degrees of mean reversion potential, from moderate oversold/overbought conditions to extreme levels that demand immediate attention.
🔶 Momentum Confirmation System
Incorporates a specialized momentum histogram that confirms mean reversion signals by analyzing the rate of change in the composite oscillator. This prevents premature entries during strong trending conditions while highlighting genuine reversal opportunities.
// Oscillator momentum (rate of change)
osc_momentum = ta.mom(composite, 5)
histogram = osc_momentum
// Momentum confirmation
momentum_bullish = histogram > histogram
momentum_bearish = histogram < histogram
// Confirmed signals
confirmed_bullish = bullish_entry and momentum_bullish
confirmed_bearish = bearish_entry and momentum_bearish
🔶 Dynamic Visual Intelligence
The oscillator line adapts its color intensity based on proximity to extreme levels, providing instant visual feedback about market conditions. Background shading creates clear zones that highlight when markets enter moderate or extreme territories.
🔶 Intelligent Signal Generation
Generates precise entry signals only when the composite oscillator crosses extreme thresholds with momentum confirmation. This dual-confirmation approach significantly reduces false signals while maintaining sensitivity to genuine mean reversion opportunities.
How It Works
🔶 Composite Score Calculation
The indicator simultaneously tracks five different oscillators, each normalized to a 0-100 scale, then combines them into a smoothed composite score. This approach eliminates the noise inherent in single-oscillator analysis while capturing the consensus view of multiple momentum indicators.
// Mean reversion entry signals
bullish_entry = ta.crossover(composite, 100 - extreme_level) and composite < (100 - extreme_level)
bearish_entry = ta.crossunder(composite, extreme_level) and composite > extreme_level
// Bollinger %B calculation
bb_basis = ta.sma(src, bb_length)
bb_dev = bb_mult * ta.stdev(src, bb_length)
bb_percent = (src - bb_lower) / (bb_upper - bb_lower) * 100
🔶 Extreme Zone Identification
The system automatically identifies when markets reach statistically significant extreme levels, both moderate (65/35) and extreme (80/20). These zones represent areas where mean reversion has the highest probability of success based on historical market behavior.
🔶 Momentum Histogram Analysis
A specialized momentum histogram tracks the velocity of oscillator changes, helping traders distinguish between healthy corrections and potential trend reversals. The histogram's color-coded display makes momentum shifts immediately apparent.
🔶 Divergence Detection Framework
Built-in divergence analysis identifies situations where price and oscillator movements diverge, often signaling impending reversals. Diamond-shaped markers highlight these critical divergence patterns for enhanced pattern recognition.
🔶 Real-Time Information Dashboard
An integrated information table provides instant access to current oscillator readings, market status, and individual component values. This dashboard eliminates the need to manually check multiple indicators while trading.
🔶 Individual Component Display
Optional display of individual oscillator components allows traders to understand which specific indicators are driving the composite signal. This transparency enables more informed decision-making and deeper market analysis.
🔶 Adaptive Background Coloring
Intelligent background shading automatically adjusts based on market conditions, creating visual zones that correspond to different levels of mean reversion potential. The subtle color gradations make pattern recognition effortless.

🔶 Comprehensive Alert System
Multi-tier alert system covers confirmed entry signals, divergence patterns, and extreme level breaches. Each alert type provides specific context about the detected condition, enabling traders to respond appropriately to different signal strengths.
🔶 Customizable Threshold Management
Fully adjustable extreme and moderate levels allow traders to fine-tune the indicator's sensitivity to match different market volatilities and trading timeframes. This flexibility ensures optimal performance across various market conditions.
🔶 Why Choose AE - Mean Reversion Oscillator?
This indicator provides the most comprehensive approach to mean reversion trading by combining multiple proven oscillators with advanced confirmation mechanisms. By offering clear visual hierarchies for different extreme levels and requiring momentum confirmation for signals, it empowers traders to identify high-probability contrarian opportunities while avoiding false reversals. The sophisticated composite methodology ensures that signals are both statistically significant and practically actionable, making it an essential tool for traders focused on mean reversion strategies across all market conditions.
Volatility Channel Oscillator█ OVERVIEW
"Volatility Channel Oscillator" is a technical indicator that analyzes price volatility relative to dynamic price channels, displaying an oscillator, its moving average, and signals based on crossovers and divergences. The indicator offers customizable overbought and oversold levels, gradient visualization, and divergence detection, supported by alerts for key signals.
█ CONCEPTS
The VCO indicator creates dynamic price channels based on a moving average of the price (calculated as the arithmetic mean of the high and low prices: (high + low) / 2) and market volatility (measured as the average candle range and body size). These channels are not displayed on the chart but are used to calculate the oscillator value, which reflects the position of the closing price relative to the channel width, scaled to a range from -100 to +100, with the zero line as the central point. A moving average of the oscillator (SMA) smooths its values, enabling signals based on crossovers with the zero line or overbought/oversold levels. The indicator also detects divergences between price and the oscillator, which may indicate potential trend reversals. VCO is useful for identifying market momentum, reversal points, and trend confirmation, especially when combined with other technical analysis tools.
█ FEATURES
- Volatility Channels: Calculates invisible chart boundaries based on a simple moving average (SMA) of the price (high + low) / 2 and volatility (average candle range and body). The length parameter (default 30) sets the SMA length, and scale (default 200%) adjusts the channel width.
- Oscillator: Determines the oscillator value in the range of -100 to +100, indicating the closing price's position relative to the volatility channel. Displayed with dynamic coloring (green for positive values, red for negative).
- Oscillator Moving Average: A simple moving average (SMA) of the oscillator values, smoothing its movements. The signalLength parameter (default 20) defines the SMA length. Displayed in yellow with an optional gradient.
- Overbought/Oversold Levels: Configurable thresholds for the oscillator (overbought, default 50; oversold, default -50) and its moving average (maOverbought, default 30; maOversold, default -30), shown as horizontal lines with optional gradients. Band colors change dynamically (red for overbought, green for oversold, gray for neutral) based on the moving average's position relative to maOverbought/maOversold, reinforcing other signals.
- Divergences: Detects bullish (price forms a lower low, oscillator a higher low) and bearish (price forms a higher high, oscillator a lower high) divergences using pivots (pivotLength, default 2). Divergences are displayed with a delay equal to the pivot length; larger lengths increase reliability but delay signals. Use as additional confirmation.
Signals:
- Overbought/Oversold Crossovers: Green triangles (buy) when the oscillator crosses above the oversold level, red triangles (sell) when it crosses below the overbought level.
- Zero Line Crossovers: Buy/sell signals when the oscillator crosses the zero line upward (buy) or downward (sell).
- Moving Average Crossovers: Buy/sell signals when the oscillator's moving average crosses the zero line or the maOverbought/maOversold levels. Dynamic band color changes (red/green) at these crossovers reinforce other signals.
- Visualization: Gradient lines for the oscillator, its moving average, overbought/oversold levels, and zero line, with adjustable transparency. Gradient fill between the oscillator and zero line.
Divergence Labels: "Bull" (bullish) and "Bear" (bearish) labels with customizable color and transparency.
- Alerts: Built-in alerts for divergences, overbought/oversold crossovers, and zero line crossovers by the oscillator and its moving average.
█ HOW TO USE
Add to Chart: Apply the indicator via Pine Editor or the Indicators menu on TradingView.
Configure Settings:
- Channel and Oscillator Settings: Adjust the channel SMA length (length, default 30) and channel scaling (scale, default 200%). Increase scale for high-volatility markets.
- Threshold Levels: Set oscillator overbought (overbought, default 50) and oversold (oversold, default -50) levels, and moving average thresholds (maOverbought, default 30; maOversold, default -30).
- Divergence Settings: Enable/disable divergence detection (calculateDivergence) and set pivot length (pivotLength, default 2). Larger values increase reliability but delay signals.
- Signal Settings: Choose signal types (signalType): overbought/oversold, zero line, moving average, or all.
- Styling: Customize colors for the oscillator, moving average, horizontal levels, and divergence labels. Adjust gradient and fill transparency.
Interpreting Signals:
- Buy Signals: Green triangles below the bar when the oscillator or its moving average crosses above the oversold level or zero line.
- Sell Signals: Red triangles above the bar when the oscillator or its moving average crosses below the overbought level or zero line.
- Moving Average Signals: Green/red triangles when the moving average crosses maOverbought/maOversold levels, indicating potential reversals or trend continuation. Dynamic band color changes (red for overbought, green for oversold) at these crossovers reinforce other signals.
- Divergences: "Bull" (bullish) and "Bear" (bearish) labels indicate potential trend reversals with a delay based on pivot length. Use as confirmation.
- Overbought/Oversold Levels: Monitor price reactions in these zones as potential reversal points. Dynamic band color changes based on the moving average reinforce signals.
Signal Confirmation: Use VCO with other tools, such as pivot levels (for key turning points) or Fibonacci levels (for support/resistance zones).
█ APPLICATIONS
- Trend Trading: Zero line crossovers by the oscillator or its moving average identify momentum in uptrends or downtrends.
- Range Trading: Overbought/oversold levels help identify entry/exit points in sideways markets.
- Divergences: Use bullish/bearish divergences as additional confirmation of reversals, especially near key price levels.
- Trend Identification: To analyze trends over a longer perspective, increase the moving average length (signalLength) for more stable signals.
█ NOTES
- Test the indicator across different timeframes and markets to optimize parameters, such as length and scale, for your trading style.
- In strong trends, overbought/oversold levels may persist, requiring additional signal verification.
- Divergences are more reliable on higher timeframes (H4, D1), where market noise is reduced, but their delay requires caution.
- In low-liquidity markets, signals may be less effective, so use on high-liquidity assets is recommended.
