Introduction to Dividend Calendar
The Dividend Calendar is designed for you to compare which stocks were the most profitable the previous quarter in relation to other stocks. If you're performing a top-down fundamental analysis, our Dividends Calendar can help you with an overview of the current stock market, which can potentially be added to your portfolio as a cash-generating asset for long-term holdings.
Dividends are the amount of money a company pays to its shareholders for each share they own. Usually, companies publish their dividend reports each quarter.
Whether to distribute dividends is entirely up to the company, though it's more commonly expected.
In the Dividends Calendar, you can find the following information:
- Amount: How much the company is going to pay to its shareholders for each share they hold
- Ex-date: If you purchase a share until this date, you're entitled for dividends
- Pay date: Shows the dates when distributions will occur
- Dividend yield: The annual amount of dividends relative to the stock price
The sun or moon icons to the left of each company indicate when the report from this company is published — before market open or after market close.
