il libro Technical Analysis of Stock Trends di Robert Edwards e Magee del 1948!!! parla proprio di questa configurazione grafica di massimi e minimi che si aggiornano ripetutamente che TROVIAMO ANCHE SUL NOSTERO INDICE FIB e dice testuali parole:
"The broadening formation may be said to suggest a market lacking intelligent sponsorship and out of control – a situation, usually, in which the "public" is excitedly committed and which is being whipped around by wild rumors.
Chart patterns of this type make their appearance, as a rule, only at the end or in the final phases of a long bull market. This particular form occurred at the 1929 Tops of many of the active and popular stocks of the day."
