1️⃣ U.S. President Joe Biden is likely to issue warnings as well as warnings to U.S. companies about the increased risks of operating in Hong Kong and also impose more sanctions.
2️⃣ Employment data in Australia on Thursday is expected to be weak as the employment component in the manufacturing and services PMI shows a decline.
3️⃣ The increase in Delta Covid-19 variant cases in Asia weighed on market sentiment. This can put pressure on beta quality currencies such as the AUD.
USD - Bullish
1️⃣ The U.S. dollar soared after the U.S. inflation rate hit a new high since August 2008 at 5.4% for June. Earlier the Federal Reserve reiterated that the rise in inflation in the United States was only temporary. But today’s data suggests inflation is likely to remain high.
2️⃣ Retail sales data on Friday is expected to be positive following an increase in spending, according to Redbook. In addition, salaries also went up.
