BTC/XRP volume ratio against USD

Are ratios being baked into the bot cake based on volume ratios and the dominance of BTC as an exchange base currency? Breakouts of the ratio downward seem to lead XRP pricing in USD. Could we factor out this movement to anticipate what the value of XRP might be without BTC's influence as a base currency?
