The Polkadot ecosystem is a multichain network created to connect independent blockchains, enabling interoperability and information sharing among them. Created by Ethereum co-founder Gavin Wood, Polkadot uses an innovative architecture that includes the use of Relay Chains, Parachains, and Bridges to provide scalability of technical resources, shared security, and decentralized governance, allowing constant improvement updates to be made without hard forks.
