Ethereum remains the de facto platform to build blockchain projects on its ecosystem, it is the ultimate place for pump & dump schemes. though this time it appears a decent size pump might be on the way. on the other hand Bitcoin is running on an outdated eco system which consumes a huge amount of energy to power its network, over the long run its simply not sustainable unless the devs are willing to do something about it.
