☛S&P 500 still doing nothing, below the Head & Shoulder Neckline. Consumer Sentiment & FOMC in Focus.
➤US stocks ended slightly lower with Dow -0.34%, S&P 500 -0.43% & Nasdaq -0.95%. Russia-Ukraine talk failed to yield any meaningful progress and the US CPI (inflation) hit 7.9%, the highest since 1982.
☛On technical front:
-S&P 500 not doing much after Wednesday's rally.
-Thursday's candle moved lower but inside the previous day's range.
-suggest indecision from the market.
-Keep an eye on the Consumer Sentiment tonight & FOMC on 17/3 (GMT+8)
➤The US dollar index edged higher to 98.50 as the Treasury yields rose across the curve. The 10-year Treasury yield jumped to 1.992%, hit above 2% in intraday-high after release of the red-hot inflation data.
➤GBP gave up Wednesday's gains & ended lower to below 1.31.
➤EUR edged lower to below 1.10.
➤Gold was flat near to 5-day Moving average, below $2,000.
➤Oil (Brent) dropped below $ 110, trading near to 20-day Moving average.
➤BTC & XRP in sideways, with BTC below $40,000 to XRP above $0.7000.
