Cannabis company The Green Organic Dutchman Holdings Ltd. said Wednesday it has received a research license from Health Canada that will eliminate its reliance on third parties.

The license allows the company to bring product development and testing in house, the company said in a press release. It should also lower costs and accelerate the pace of development.

It should also add additional rigour and quality control, the company said.

The license is valid for five years.
