potential long on USD/JPY 4H time frame

Do you guys trade advanced pattern formations? Are you able to make consistent profits from the Cypher pattern?
I will be looking to take this pair long if we reach my kill zone. I need at least a 1:1 risk-reward with an ATR stop going below previous swing low.
Until now I wasn't able to see consistency from trading these advanced chart patterns, so my reasons for entry will be higher high, higher close candle in the kill zone, or a double bottom with bullish divergence (for all you conservative traders out there :) )
Let me know what other type of reasons are you looking for when deciding to enter a trade.
