Shortly, the U.S. will release the initial jobless claims data and September retail sales month-over-month figures. Prior to the announcement, I personally predict these data points are likely to be bearish for XAUUSD, making it a good opportunity to preemptively position for shorts, suggesting a short entry around 2690 while awaiting the data release.
