While the price has dropped to almost the year low, I am still not convinced to part my capital to invest in this stock. Yes, I do like its business sectors from running a KFC franchise to property development in Myanmar. However, running through its financial statements reveal a different story. It is still declining in revenue and profits due to the huge capital required to deploy to all the growth sectors that it is in.
Debts are around 30% and it has also issued some bonds to raise more capital.
Perhaps, the biggest challenge lies in the political situation in Myanmar right now. Read article here and here .
It might take some years before we see profits returning to this company and the stability of this country where Yoma Strategic business is concentrating on. Meanwhile, there are more companies that I can invest in than choosing Yoma Strategic.
