Tunisia's annual inflation rate jumps to 9.8% in November

Tunisia's annual inflation rate jumped to 9.8% in November, a record level, from 9.2% in October, the state statistics institute said on Monday, amid expectations that the central bank could raise key interest rates again.

The central bank in October raised its key interest rate by 25 basis points to 7.25% to combat inflation, its second hike in five months.

Food inflation rose by 15.1% in November, the institute said.
