@thecf MACD + Leader
This MACD shows both the standard histogram, as well as MACD and Signal line but on top of it has a MACD Leader implemented.
The MACD usually lags a bit behind due to using moving averages. By adding the price/moving average difference back to the moving average however, we can almost eliminate the lag and therefore have a leading indicator for the MACD . Please note, leading indicator for the standard MACD indicator.
The leader, first implemented by Siligardos can lead the MACD . And it is especially useful in times of significant price changes.
Use the leader for divergence between MACD and Leader: Shortly after the divergence occurs, the MACD takes the direction of the Leader.
And for crossovers between the MACD and Zero: Shortly after the Leader crosses above or below Zero, the MACD follows.
You can hide whatever you wish to hide. The histrogram is added to the indicator unlike other MACD Leaders, because I like to still be able to look for divergence on it.
