Market regime classifier that identifies uptrend, decline, and chop conditions using bar-close-confirmed trend, momentum, and volatility context.
Chop / Decline Regime Classifier is a market-environment diagnostic indicator designed to help traders understand when conditions favor trend continuation, trend deterioration, or range-bound compression.
Instead of generating trade signals, the indicator classifies the current market regime using a bar-close-confirmed model that blends:
Trend alignment and directional slope
Momentum behavior relative to balance
Volatility expansion vs. compression
Directional persistence versus chop pressure
The output is a clear, stable regime state:
Uptrend — trend quality improving with supportive momentum
Decline — trend weakening or deteriorating
Chop — rising compression and reduced directional clarity
