WHAT IT IS The Multi TF Trend Dashboard is a professional multi-timeframe trend analysis tool that runs a proprietary algorithm across seven user-defined timeframes and synthesises the results into a single weighted bias score. It tells you not just which direction each timeframe is trending, but how strong that trend is and whether it qualifies as a true trend or a ranging market condition. Unlike basic moving average crossover dashboards, this tool uses a triple-smoothed TEMA crossover system combined with a Directional Movement Rating and RSI strength confirmation. A timeframe only registers as trending if all three conditions align — direction, momentum, and price position. This eliminates false signals in choppy, ranging markets. The overall bias is only confirmed when a minimum weighted score threshold is met and higher timeframe alignment is present. This means the dashboard stays neutral in ambiguous conditions rather than giving you a weak or misleading signal. HOW IT WORKS For each of the seven timeframes the indicator calculates: TEMA Crossover — A Triple Exponential Moving Average crossover using a fast and slow length. TEMA reacts faster than standard EMAs and reduces lag significantly, giving cleaner trend reads without the noise of simple moving averages. Directional Movement Rating (DMR) — A triple-smoothed adaptation of the classic ADX system. The DMR filters out ranging market conditions and only confirms a trend when directional movement reaches a defined threshold. Below that threshold the timeframe is marked as Ranging regardless of what the crossover says. RSI Strength Confirmation — RSI distance from the 50 level is used as a strength multiplier. A timeframe trending strongly with RSI well away from 50 scores higher than one barely trending with RSI near centre. Weighted Bias System — Each timeframe is assigned a weight with higher timeframes carrying significantly more influence. The overall bias is only declared Bullish or Bearish when the weighted score exceeds a minimum threshold, a minimum number of timeframes agree, and at least one higher timeframe confirms the direction. This prevents low timeframe noise from flipping the bias. Trend Strength Score — A blended score out of 100 combining alignment and agreement across all seven timeframes. A score above 70 indicates a high conviction trend setup. HOW TO USE IT Setting Up Your Timeframes Configure the seven timeframe inputs to match your trading style. A typical setup for intraday forex traders would be 5M, 15M, 30M, 1H, 4H, Daily and Weekly. Swing traders may prefer 15M, 1H, 4H, Daily, Weekly and Monthly as their higher anchors. Reading the Bias The overall bias displayed at the top of the dashboard is your primary signal. Only trade in the direction of the confirmed bias. If the dashboard shows NEUTRAL, the market does not have clear directional agreement across timeframes — this is a signal to stand aside, not to force a trade. Reading Individual Timeframes Each row shows the direction (UP, DOWN or RANGING), the strength (High, Medium or Low) and whether the timeframe qualifies as a true trend. A tick ✓ means trending. A cross ✗ means ranging or no signal. Look for confluence — multiple timeframes agreeing in the same direction with High or Medium strength is where the highest probability setups occur. Trend Strength Score Use the strength bar and score at the bottom of the dashboard to gauge conviction. A score above 70 with a confirmed bias indicates a strong, aligned trend. A score below 40 with a neutral bias means the market is contested — patience is required. Session Awareness The dashboard displays the current trading session — Sydney, Tokyo, London, LDN/NY or New York Alerts Two alert conditions are available. Bias Change fires when the overall bias shifts direction. Strong Trend 70+ fires when the trend strength score crosses above 70. If price is above a rising EMA, the trend score is +1. If price is below a falling EMA, it is -1. Mixed conditions produce intermediate scores. This captures the most fundamental question: is the trend up or down? 2. Momentum Phase A composite of three normalized oscillators — Bollinger %B, CCI, and ROC. Each is scored independently and averaged. This measures whether momentum is bullish, bearish, or neutral, using three different mathematical approaches to reduce the chance of a single oscillator giving a misleading signal. 3. Confluence Pressure Zones When the confluence score stays extreme (above 70 or below 30) for a configurable minimum number of bars (default 5), the indicator draws a dashed box marking the price range during that period. Regime Transition Lines When the confluence score crosses from bullish to bearish territory (or vice versa), a labeled dashed line is drawn at the transition price. Confluence Divergence Detector When price makes a new 20-bar high but the confluence score is declining (or price makes a new low but the score is rising), the indicator marks a confluence divergence. On very low timeframes (1m), the higher timeframe data updates less frequently, which can create lag in the score. Scalpers who trade against the higher timeframe trend may find the score misleading for their style. Confluence score is a composite of mathematical calculations. When a 5m zone overlaps with a 15m and 30m zone at the same price level, that's multi-timeframe confluence — a much higher probability reaction area than any single-TF zone alone.
