RSI Candles with EMA byAuncleJoeThe Relative Strength Index (RSI) is one of the most widely used momentum indicators in trading. It helps traders assess whether an asset is overbought or oversold by measuring the speed and magnitude of recent price changes. Traditionally, RSI is displayed as a single line oscillating between 0 and 100, but this representation can sometimes make it difficult to spot trends, reversals, and momentum shifts effectively.
To enhance RSI visualization and usability, the RSI Candles with EMA indicator transforms the RSI values into candlestick charts, providing a more intuitive and dynamic way to analyze momentum. Unlike the traditional RSI line, this approach allows traders to observe RSI trends just as they would analyze price charts, making it easier to detect changes in momentum and trend strength.
Each RSI candle represents a specific period’s momentum activity. Green candles indicate that the RSI closed higher than it opened, signaling bullish momentum, while red candles suggest that the RSI closed lower than it opened, indicating bearish sentiment. This candlestick-style visualization helps traders spot RSI trends, breakouts, and reversals more effectively than a simple line chart.
To further refine momentum analysis, this indicator also includes an Exponential Moving Average (EMA) of RSI. The EMA smooths RSI fluctuations and provides a clearer trend direction. When RSI candles remain above the EMA, it suggests strong buying momentum, whereas RSI candles falling below the EMA indicate increasing selling pressure. This combination of RSI candlesticks and an EMA line allows traders to better identify shifts in market sentiment and potential trend reversals.
Additionally, the indicator includes customizable overbought and oversold levels (defaulted at 70 and 30, respectively). These levels help traders recognize when an asset might be overextended in either direction, potentially signaling an upcoming reversal. When RSI candles approach or cross these thresholds, traders can anticipate possible changes in market direction.
This indicator is particularly useful for a wide range of traders. Scalpers and day traders can leverage it to quickly identify short-term momentum shifts, while swing traders can use it to detect potential reversals in multi-day trends. Trend-following traders can confirm bullish or bearish trends based on RSI’s position relative to its EMA, and mean reversion traders can use it to spot extreme conditions where price action might snap back.
By combining RSI candlesticks with an EMA filter, this indicator provides a more dynamic and visually intuitive approach to momentum trading. It offers clearer trend signals, better reversal detection, and enhanced decision-making, making it an essential tool for traders who rely on RSI-based strategies.
Doji DetectorThis script is designed to detect Doji candlesticks, which are characterized by a small body compared to the overall candle range. The script identifies a Doji when:
✔ The body size is smaller than 10% of the total candle range, OR
✔ The body size is less than 3 pips.
How It Works:
The script calculates the body size of each candle (absolute difference between the open and close price).
It then compares the body size with the total candle range (high - low).
If the body size is smaller than 10% of the candle range or less than 3 pips, the script marks it as a Doji.
How to Use It:
Apply the script to your TradingView chart.
It will highlight Doji candles automatically.
Suitable for traders using price action analysis to identify potential market reversals or indecision zones.
🚀 Best suited for: Forex, Stocks, and Crypto markets.
🔔 Optional: You can modify the conditions to fit your trading strategy.

Title: Waldo's RSI Color Trend Candles
Short Title: Waldo RSI CTC
Overview:
Waldo's RSI Color Trend Candles is a visually intuitive indicator designed to enhance your trading experience by color-coding candlesticks based on the integration of Relative Strength Index (RSI) momentum and moving average trend analysis. This innovative tool overlays directly on your price chart, providing a clear, color-based representation of market sentiment and trend direction.
What is it?
This indicator combines the power of RSI with the simplicity of moving averages to offer traders a unique way to visualize market conditions:
RSI Integration: The RSI is computed with customizable parameters, allowing traders to adjust how momentum is interpreted. The RSI values influence the primary color of the candles, indicating overbought or oversold market states.
Moving Averages: Utilizing two Simple Moving Averages (SMAs) with user-defined lengths, the indicator helps in identifying trend directions through their crossovers. The fast MA and slow MA can be toggled on/off for visual clarity.
Color Trend Candles: The 'Color Trend Candles' feature uses a dynamic color scheme to reflect different market conditions:
Purple for overbought conditions when RSI exceeds the set threshold (default 70).
Blue for oversold conditions when RSI falls below the set threshold (default 44).
Green indicates a bullish trend, confirmed by both price action and RSI being bullish (fast MA crossing above slow MA, with price above the slow MA).
Red signals a bearish trend, when both price and RSI are bearish (fast MA crossing below slow MA, with price below the slow MA).
Gray for neutral or mixed market sentiment, where signals are less clear or contradictory.
How to Use It:
Waldo's RSI Color Trend Candles is tailored for traders who appreciate visual cues in their trading strategy:
Trend and Momentum Insight: The color of each candle gives an immediate visual representation of both the trend (via MA crossovers) and momentum (via RSI). Green and red candles align with bullish or bearish trends, respectively, providing a quick reference for market direction.
Identifying Extreme Conditions: Purple and blue candles highlight potential reversal zones or areas where the market might be overstretched, offering opportunities for contrarian trades or to anticipate market corrections.
Customization: Users can adjust the RSI length, overbought/oversold levels, and the lengths of the moving averages to align with their trading style or the specific characteristics of the asset they're trading.
This customization ensures the indicator can be tailored to various market conditions.
Simplified Decision Making: Designed for traders who prefer a visual approach, this indicator simplifies the decision-making process by encoding complex market data into an easy-to-understand color system.

Candle Emotion Index (CEI)The Candle Emotion Index (CEI) is a comprehensive sentiment analysis indicator that combines three sub-oscillators—Indecision Oscillator, Fear Oscillator, and Greed Oscillator—to provide a single, unified measure of market sentiment. By analyzing bullish, bearish, and indecisive candlestick patterns, the CEI delivers a holistic view of market emotions and helps traders identify key turning points.
How It Works
Indecision Oscillator: Measures market uncertainty using Doji and Spinning Top candlestick patterns. Scores their presence and normalizes the results over a user-defined lookback period.
Fear Oscillator: Measures bearish sentiment using Shooting Star, Hanging Man, and Bearish Engulfing candlestick patterns. Scores their presence and normalizes the results over a user-defined lookback period.
Greed Oscillator: Measures bullish sentiment using Marubozu, Bullish Engulfing, Hammer, and Three White Soldiers candlestick patterns. Scores their presence and normalizes the results over a user-defined lookback period.
Candle Emotion Index Calculation: The CEI is calculated as the average of the Indecision, Fear, and Greed Oscillators: CEI = (Indecision Oscillator + Fear Oscillator + Greed Oscillator) / 3
Plotting: The CEI is plotted as a single line on the chart, representing overall market sentiment.
Reference lines are added to indicate Low Emotion, Neutral, and High Emotion levels.
The Candle Emotion Index provides a unified perspective on market sentiment by blending indecision, fear, and greed into one easy-to-interpret metric. It serves as a powerful tool for traders seeking to gauge market psychology and identify high-probability trading opportunities. For best results, use the CEI in conjunction with other technical indicators to confirm signals.
Bullish Reversal Bar Strategy [Skyrexio]Overview
Bullish Reversal Bar Strategy leverages the combination of candlestick pattern Bullish Reversal Bar (description in Methodology and Justification of Methodology), Williams Alligator indicator and Williams Fractals to create the high probability setups. Candlestick pattern is used for the entering into trade, while the combination of Williams Alligator and Fractals is used for the trend approximation as close condition. Strategy uses only long trades.
Unique Features
No fixed stop-loss and take profit: Instead of fixed stop-loss level strategy utilizes technical condition obtained by Fractals and Alligator or the candlestick pattern invalidation to identify when current uptrend is likely to be over (more information in "Methodology" and "Justification of Methodology" paragraphs)
Configurable Trading Periods: Users can tailor the strategy to specific market windows, adapting to different market conditions.
Trend Trade Filter: strategy uses Alligator and Fractal combination as high probability trend filter.
Methodology
The strategy opens long trade when the following price met the conditions:
1.Current candle's high shall be below the Williams Alligator's lines (Jaw, Lips, Teeth)(all details in "Justification of Methodology" paragraph)
2.Price shall create the candlestick pattern "Bullish Reversal Bar". Optionally if MFI and AO filters are enabled current candle shall have the decreasing AO and at least one of three recent bars shall have the squat state on the MFI (all details in "Justification of Methodology" paragraph)
3.If price breaks through the high of the candle marked as the "Bullish Reversal Bar" the long trade is open at the price one tick above the candle's high
4.Initial stop loss is placed at the Bullish Reversal Bar's candle's low
5.If price hit the Bullish Reversal Bar's low before hitting the entry price potential trade is cancelled
6.If trade is active and initial stop loss has not been hit, trade is closed when the combination of Alligator and Williams Fractals shall consider current trend change from upward to downward.
Strategy settings
In the inputs window user can setup strategy setting:
Enable MFI (if true trades are filtered using Market Facilitation Index (MFI) condition all details in "Justification of Methodology" paragraph), by default = false)
Enable AO (if true trades are filtered using Awesome Oscillator (AO) condition all details in "Justification of Methodology" paragraph), by default = false)
Justification of Methodology
Let's explore the key concepts of this strategy and understand how they work together. The first and key concept is the Bullish Reversal Bar candlestick pattern. This is just the single bar pattern. The rules are simple:
Candle shall be closed in it's upper half
High of this candle shall be below all three Alligator's lines (Jaw, Lips, Teeth)
Next, let’s discuss the short-term trend filter, which combines the Williams Alligator and Williams Fractals. Williams Alligator
Developed by Bill Williams, the Alligator is a technical indicator that identifies trends and potential market reversals. It consists of three smoothed moving averages:
Jaw (Blue Line): The slowest of the three, based on a 13-period smoothed moving average shifted 8 bars ahead.
Teeth (Red Line): The medium-speed line, derived from an 8-period smoothed moving average shifted 5 bars forward.
Lips (Green Line): The fastest line, calculated using a 5-period smoothed moving average shifted 3 bars forward.
When the lines diverge and align in order, the "Alligator" is "awake," signaling a strong trend. When the lines overlap or intertwine, the "Alligator" is "asleep," indicating a range-bound or sideways market. This indicator helps traders determine when to enter or avoid trades.
Fractals, another tool by Bill Williams, help identify potential reversal points on a price chart. A fractal forms over at least five consecutive bars, with the middle bar showing either:
Up Fractal: Occurs when the middle bar has a higher high than the two preceding and two following bars, suggesting a potential downward reversal.
Down Fractal: Happens when the middle bar shows a lower low than the surrounding two bars, hinting at a possible upward reversal.
Traders often use fractals alongside other indicators to confirm trends or reversals, enhancing decision-making accuracy.
How do these tools work together in this strategy? Let’s consider an example of an uptrend.
When the price breaks above an up fractal, it signals a potential bullish trend. This occurs because the up fractal represents a shift in market behavior, where a temporary high was formed due to selling pressure. If the price revisits this level and breaks through, it suggests the market sentiment has turned bullish.
The breakout must occur above the Alligator’s teeth line to confirm the trend. A breakout below the teeth is considered invalid, and the downtrend might still persist. Conversely, in a downtrend, the same logic applies with down fractals.
How we can use all these indicators in this strategy? This strategy is a counter trend one. Candle's high shall be below all Alligator's lines. During this market stage the bullish reversal bar candlestick pattern shall be printed. This bar during the downtrend is a high probability setup for the potential reversal to the upside: bulls were able to close the price in the upper half of a candle. The breaking of its high is a high probability signal that trend change is confirmed and script opens long trade. If market continues going down and break down the bullish reversal bar's low potential trend change has been invalidated and strategy close long trade.
If market really reversed and started moving to the upside strategy waits for the trend change form the downtrend to the uptrend according to approximation of Alligator and Fractals combination. If this change happens strategy close the trade. This approach helps to stay in the long trade while the uptrend continuation is likely and close it if there is a high probability of the uptrend finish.
Optionally users can enable MFI and AO filters. First of all, let's briefly explain what are these two indicators. The Awesome Oscillator (AO), created by Bill Williams, is a momentum-based indicator that evaluates market momentum by comparing recent price activity to a broader historical context. It assists traders in identifying potential trend reversals and gauging trend strength.
AO = SMA5(Median Price) − SMA34(Median Price)
where:
Median Price = (High + Low) / 2
SMA5 = 5-period Simple Moving Average of the Median Price
SMA 34 = 34-period Simple Moving Average of the Median Price
This indicator is filtering signals in the following way: if current AO bar is decreasing this candle can be interpreted as a bullish reversal bar. This logic is applicable because initially this strategy is a trend reversal, it is searching for the high probability setup against the current trend. Decreasing AO is the additional high probability filter of a downtrend.
Let's briefly look what is MFI. The Market Facilitation Index (MFI) is a technical indicator that measures the price movement per unit of volume, helping traders gauge the efficiency of price movement in relation to trading volume. Here's how you can calculate it:
MFI = (High−Low)/Volume
MFI can be used in combination with volume, so we can divide 4 states. Bill Williams introduced these to help traders interpret the interaction between volume and price movement. Here’s a quick summary:
Green Window (Increased MFI & Increased Volume): Indicates strong momentum with both price and volume increasing. Often a sign of trend continuation, as both buying and selling interest are rising.
Fake Window (Increased MFI & Decreased Volume): Shows that price is moving but with lower volume, suggesting weak support for the trend. This can signal a potential end of the current trend.
Squat Window (Decreased MFI & Increased Volume): Shows high volume but little price movement, indicating a tug-of-war between buyers and sellers. This often precedes a breakout as the pressure builds.
Fade Window (Decreased MFI & Decreased Volume): Indicates a lack of interest from both buyers and sellers, leading to lower momentum. This typically happens in range-bound markets and may signal consolidation before a new move.
For our purposes we are interested in squat bars. This is the sign that volume cannot move the price easily. This type of bar increases the probability of trend reversal. In this indicator we added to enable the MFI filter of reversal bars. If potential reversal bar or two preceding bars have squat state this bar can be interpret as a reversal one.

Price and Volume Breakout Buy Strategy [TradeDots]The "Price and Volume Breakout Buy Strategy" is a trading strategy designed to identify buying opportunities by detecting concurrent price and volume breakouts over a specified range of candlesticks.
This strategy is optimized for assets demonstrating high volatility and significant momentum spikes.
HOW IT WORKS
The strategy first takes the specific number of candlesticks as the examination window for both price and volume.
These values are used as benchmarks to identify breakout conditions.
A trade is initiated when both the closing price and the trading volume surpass the maximum values observed within the predetermined window.
Price must be above a designated moving average, serving as the trend indicator, ensuring that all trades align with the prevailing market trend.
APPLICATION
This strategy is particularly effective for highly volatile assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, capitalizing on the cues from sudden price and volume breakouts indicative of significant market movement, often driven by market smart money traders.
However, for broader markets like the S&P 500, this strategy may be less effective due to less pronounced volume and price shifts compared to the cryptocurrency markets.
DEFAULT SETUP
Commission: 0.01%
Initial Capital: $10,000
Equity per Trade: 70%
Backtest result sometimes gives fewer than 100 trades under certain higher timeframes, as most trades tend to have a long holding period. Entry conditions are also more stringent, which, combined with the relatively brief history of cryptocurrencies, results in fewer trades on longer timeframes.
Users are advised to adjust and personalize this trading strategy to better match their individual trading preferences and style.

Encapsulation BoxThe “Encapsulation Box” indicator is designed to locate areas of the chart where the highs and lows of candlesticks are “embedded” or enclosed within the body of a previous candlestick. This setup indicates a significant contraction in the market and can provide important trading signals. Here's how it works in more detail:
Detecting contraction: The indicator looks for situations where the price range of the candles is very narrow, i.e. when subsequent candles have highs and lows that are contained within the range of a previous candle. This condition indicates a contraction in the market before a possible directional move.
When a contraction is detected, the indicator draws a rectangle around the area where the highs and lows of the candles are embedded. The rectangle has its upper vertex corresponding to the maximum of the candles involved and its lower vertex corresponding to the minimum. The width of the rectangle is defined by can be customized by the user.
A key feature of this indicator is the horizontal line drawn outside the rectangle. This line is positioned in the middle of the rectangle and represents 50% of the range of the rectangle itself. This line acts as a significant support or resistance level depending on the direction the contraction breaks.
The indicator can generate buy or sell signals when a break in the rectangle or horizontal line occurs. For example, if the price breaks above the rectangle and the horizontal line, it could generate a buy signal, indicating a possible uptrend. Conversely, if the price breaks below the rectangle and the horizontal line, it could generate a sell signal, indicating a possible downtrend.
Histogram Momentum Shaded CandlesDescription:
The Histogram Momentum Shaded Candles indicator (HMSC) is a powerful technical analysis tool that combines the concepts of the MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence) indicator and shaded candlestick visualization. It provides insights into momentum and trend strength by representing the MACD histogram as shaded candles on the chart.
How it Works:
The HMSC indicator calculates the MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence) using user-defined parameters such as the fast length, slow length, source, signal smoothing, and moving average types. It then calculates the MACD histogram by subtracting the signal line from the MACD line. The indicator transforms the histogram values into transparency levels for the shaded candles, representing bullish and bearish momentum.
Usage:
To effectively utilize the Histogram Momentum Shaded Candles indicator, follow these steps:
1. Apply the HMSC indicator to your chart by adding it from the available indicators.
2. Customize the MACD settings such as the fast length, slow length, source, signal smoothing, and moving average types according to your trading preferences.
3. Observe the shaded candles plotted on the chart:
- Bullish shaded candles (green by default) indicate positive momentum and potential buying pressure.
- Bearish shaded candles (red by default) indicate negative momentum and potential selling pressure.
4. Assess the intensity of the shaded candles:
5. Shading intensity is determined by the magnitude of the MACD histogram, with higher values resulting in more opaque candles.
6. The shading intensity reflects the strength of momentum and can help identify significant shifts in price action.
7. Combine the analysis of shaded candles with traditional candlestick patterns, trend lines, support and resistance levels, and other technical indicators to validate potential trade setups.
8. Implement appropriate risk management strategies, including setting stop-loss orders and position sizing, to manage your trades effectively and protect your capital.
Real Price Line + Dots (for Heikin Ashi)Real Price Line + Dots (for Heikin Ashi)
This indicator is designed for use on Heikin Ashi charts. Its purpose is to enable traders to benefit from price averaging and smoothing effects of Heikin Ashi candles whilst also enabling them to see the current real price line, and optionally, real price close dots on the Heikin Ashi candlesticks.
Features include:
- Optional real price line
- Optional real price close dots

What are Heikin Ashi candles?
Heikin Ashi means 'average bar' in Japanese, Heikin Ashi charts do not show real price as standard, due to the way the Open, High, Low and Close values are calculated using averages, This is done in order to create a smoother appearance and reduce the market 'noise'.
You can read more about Heikin Ashi candlesticks here.
NOTE:
- If real price dots appear behind the candles, you may need to select the triple dot menu on the indicator then select "Visual order" > "Bring to front" , so that the dots are shown above the candles.
- When using this indicator on a Heikin Ashi chart, the standard Tradingview price line will not show accurate real price. Therefore when using the price line in this indicator, the standard price line should be disabled within the Tradingview 'Chart settings' dialog > 'Symbol' tab > uncheck 'Last', under the 'Price line' section.
Multi-Timeframe Continuity Custom Candle ConfirmationMulti-Timeframe Continuity Custom Candle Confirmation
Overview
The Timeframe Continuity Indicator is a versatile tool designed to help traders identify alignment between their current chart’s candlestick direction and higher timeframes of their choice. By coloring bars on the current chart (e.g., 1-minute) based on the directional alignment with selected higher timeframes (e.g., 10-minute, daily), this indicator provides a visual cue for confirming trends across multiple timeframes—a concept known as Timeframe Continuity. This approach is particularly useful for day traders, swing traders, and scalpers looking to ensure their trades align with broader market trends, reducing the risk of trading against the prevailing momentum.
Originality and Usefulness
This indicator is an original creation, built from scratch to address a common challenge in trading: ensuring that price action on a lower timeframe aligns with the trend on higher timeframes. Unlike many trend-following indicators that rely on moving averages, oscillators, or other lagging metrics, this script directly compares the bullish or bearish direction of candlesticks across timeframes. It introduces the following unique features:
Customizable Timeframes: Users can select from a range of higher timeframes (5m, 10m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 2h, 4h, 1d, 1w, 1M) to check for alignment, making it adaptable to various trading styles.
Neutral Candle Handling: The script accounts for neutral candles (where close == open) on the current timeframe by allowing them to inherit the direction of the higher timeframe, ensuring continuity in trend visualization.
Table: A table displays the direction of each selected timeframe and the current timeframe, helping identify direction in the event you don't want to color bars.
Toggles for Flexibility: Options to disable bar coloring and the debug table allow users to customize the indicator’s visual output for cleaner charts or focused analysis.
This indicator is not a mashup of existing scripts but a purpose-built tool to visualize timeframe alignment directly through candlestick direction, offering traders a straightforward way to confirm trend consistency.
What It Does
The Timeframe Continuity Indicator colors bars on your chart when the direction of the current timeframe’s candlestick (bullish, bearish, or neutral) aligns with the direction of the selected higher timeframes:
Lime: The current bar (e.g., 1m) is bullish or neutral, and all selected higher timeframes (e.g., 10m) are bullish.
Pink: The current bar is bearish or neutral, and all selected higher timeframes are bearish.
Default Color: If the directions don’t align (e.g., 1m bar is bearish but 10m is bullish), the bar remains the default chart color.
The indicator also includes a debug table (toggleable) that shows the direction of each selected timeframe and the current timeframe, helping traders diagnose alignment issues.
How It Works
The script uses the following methodology:
1. Direction Calculation: For each timeframe (current and selected higher timeframes), the script determines the candlestick’s direction:
Bullish (1): close > open / Bearish (-1): close < open / Neutral (0): close == open
Higher timeframe directions are fetched using Pine Script’s request.security function, ensuring accurate data retrieval.
2. Alignment Check: The script checks if all selected higher timeframes are uniformly bullish (full_bullish) or bearish (full_bearish).
o A higher timeframe must have a clear direction (bullish or bearish) to trigger coloring. If any selected timeframe is neutral, alignment fails, and no coloring occurs.
3. Coloring Logic: The current bar is colored only if its direction aligns with the higher timeframes:
Lime if the higher timeframes are bullish and the current bar is bullish or neutral.
Maroon if the higher timeframes are bearish and the current bar is bearish or neutral.
If the current bar’s direction opposes the higher timeframe (e.g., 1m bearish, 10m bullish), the bar remains uncolored.
Users can disable bar coloring entirely via the settings, leaving bars in their default chart color.
4. Direction Table:
A table in the top-right corner (toggleable) displays the direction of each selected timeframe and the current timeframe, using color-coded labels (green for bullish, red for bearish, gray for neutral).
This feature helps traders understand why a bar is or isn’t colored, making the indicator accessible to users unfamiliar with Pine Script.
How to Use
1. Add the Indicator: Add the "Timeframe Continuity Indicator" to your chart in TradingView (e.g., a 1m chart of SPY).
2. Configure Settings:
Timeframe Selection: Check the boxes for the higher timeframes you want to compare against (default: 10m). Options include 5m, 10m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 2h, 4h, 1D, 1W, and 1M. Select multiple timeframes if you want to ensure alignment across all of them (e.g., 10m and 1d).
Enable Bar Coloring: Default: true (bars are colored lime or maroon when aligned). Set to false to disable coloring and keep the default chart colors.
Show Table: Default: true (table is displayed in the top-right corner). Set to false to hide the table for a cleaner chart.
3. Interpret the Output:
Colored Bars: Lime bars indicate the current bar (e.g., 1m) is bullish or neutral, and all selected higher timeframes are bullish. Maroon bars indicate the current bar is bearish or neutral, and all selected higher timeframes are bearish. Uncolored bars (default chart color) indicate a mismatch (e.g., 1m bar is bearish while 10m is bullish) or no coloring if disabled.
Direction Table: Check the table to see the direction of each selected timeframe and the current timeframe.
4. Example Use Case:
On a 1m chart of SPY, select the 10m timeframe.
If the 10m timeframe is bearish, 1m bars that are bearish or neutral will color maroon, confirming you’re trading with the higher timeframe’s trend.
If a 1m bar is bullish while the 10m is bearish, it remains uncolored, signaling a potential misalignment to avoid trading.
Underlying Concepts
The indicator is based on the concept of Timeframe Continuity, a strategy used by traders to ensure that price action on a lower timeframe aligns with the trend on higher timeframes. This reduces the risk of entering trades against the broader market direction. The script directly compares candlestick directions (bullish, bearish, or neutral) rather than relying on lagging indicators like moving averages or RSI, providing a real-time, price-action-based confirmation of trend alignment. The handling of neutral candles ensures that minor indecision on the lower timeframe doesn’t interrupt the visualization of the higher timeframe’s trend.
Why This Indicator?
Simplicity: Directly compares candlestick directions, avoiding complex calculations or lagging indicators.
Flexibility: Customizable timeframes and toggles cater to various trading strategies.
Transparency: The debug table makes the indicator’s logic accessible to all users, not just those who can read Pine Script.
Practicality: Helps traders confirm trend alignment, a key factor in successful trading across timeframes.

Candles In Row (Expo)█ Overview
The Candles In Row (Expo) indicator is a powerful tool designed to track and visualize sequences of consecutive candlesticks in a price chart. Whether you're looking to gauge momentum or determine the prevailing trend, this indicator offers versatile functionality tailored to the needs of active traders. The Candles In Row indicator can be an integral part of a multi-timeframe trading strategy, allowing traders to understand market momentum, and set trading bias. By recognizing the patterns and likelihood of future price movements, traders can make more informed decisions and align their trades with the overall market direction.
█ How to use
The indicator enhances traders' understanding of the consecutive candle patterns, helping them to uncover trends and momentum. Consecutive candles in the same direction may indicate a strong trend. The Candles In Row indicator can be an essential tool for traders employing a multiple timeframes strategy.
Analyzing a Higher Timeframe:
Understanding Momentum: By analyzing consecutive green or red candles in a higher timeframe, traders can identify the prevailing momentum in the market. A series of green candles would suggest an upward trend, while a series of red candles would indicate a downward trend.
Predicting Next Candle: The indicator's predictive feature calculates the likelihood of the next candle being green or red based on historical patterns. This probability helps traders gauge the potential continuation of the trend.
Setting the Trading Bias: If the likelihood of the next candle being green is high, the trader may decide to focus on long (buy) opportunities. Conversely, if the likelihood of the next candle being red is high, the trader may look for short (sell) opportunities.
In this example, we are using the Heikin Ashi candles.
Moving to a Lower Timeframe:
Finding Entry Points: Once the trading bias is set based on the higher timeframe analysis, traders can switch to a lower timeframe to look for entry points in the direction of the bias. For example, if the higher timeframe suggests a high likelihood of a green candle, traders may look for buy opportunities in the lower timeframe.
Combining Timeframes for a Comprehensive Strategy:
Confirmation and Alignment: By analyzing the higher timeframe and confirming the direction in the lower timeframe, traders can ensure that they are trading in alignment with the broader trend.
Avoiding False Signals: By using a higher timeframe to set the trading bias and a lower timeframe to find entries, traders can avoid false signals and whipsaws that might be present in a single timeframe analysis.
█ Settings
Price Input Selection: Choose between regular open and close prices or Heikin Ashi candles as the basis for calculation.
Data Window Control: Decide between displaying the full data window or only the active data. You can also enable a counter that keeps track of the number of candles.
Alert Configuration: Set the desired number and color of consecutive candles that must occur in a row to trigger an alert.
Table Display Customization: Customize the location and size of the display table according to your preferences.

Change of Character FanChange of Character Fan
Overview
The Change of Character Fan is designed to help traders detect shifts (changes of character) in market direction and sentiment before they become fully visible through traditional candlestick analysis. Instead of relying solely on the shape or close of candlesticks, this indicator offers a direct, real-time look at the internal price action occurring within a single bar. This visibility into intrabar dynamics can potentially allow traders to enter or exit trades earlier, minimize false signals, and reduce their dependence on multiple lower-timeframe charts.
How it Works:
The indicator plots a "fan" consisting of five distinct slope lines within the current bar. Each line represents the internal trend of price movement based on user-defined lower timeframe data intervals.
By default, these intervals are set to 3, 5, 8, 13, and 21 samples from 1-second timeframe data.
Each line only appears when it has collected the minimum required number of intrabar data points.
The fan lines use a progressive opacity scale (lighter to darker), visually highlighting the confidence level or probability of directional continuation within the current bar.
At the open of every new bar, the fan disappears completely and gradually reappears as new data is gathered, ensuring clarity and eliminating outdated signals.
Understanding the Mathematics: Linear Regression Model
This indicator is built around the concept of a linear regression model. Linear regression is a statistical technique used to model and analyze relationships between variables—in this case, time (independent variable) and price (dependent variable).
How Linear Regression Works:
Linear regression fits a straight line (called a "line of best fit") through a set of data points, minimizing the overall distance between each point and the line itself.
Mathematically, this is achieved by minimizing the squared differences (errors) between the observed values (actual prices) and the predicted values (prices on the line).
The linear model used here can be expressed in the form:
y = mx + b
where:
𝑦
y is the predicted price,
𝑥
x represents time (each data sample interval),
𝑚
m is the slope of the line, representing the direction and velocity of the trend,
𝑏
b is the intercept (the theoretical price when x=0).
Why a Linear Model is Beneficial in this Indicator:
Simplicity and Reliability: Linear regression is simple, robust, and widely accepted as a baseline predictive model. It requires minimal computational resources, providing instant updates in real-time trading conditions.
Immediate Directional Feedback: The slope derived from linear regression immediately communicates the directional tendency of recent price action. A positive slope indicates upward pressure, and a negative slope signals downward pressure.
Noise Reduction: Even when price fluctuations are noisy or erratic, linear regression summarizes overall direction clearly, making it easier to detect genuine directional shifts (change of character) rather than random price noise.
Intrabar Analysis: Traditional candlestick analysis relies on fully formed candles, potentially delaying signals. By using linear regression on very short-term (intrabar) data, traders can detect shifts in momentum more quickly, providing an earlier signal than conventional candle patterns alone.
Practical Application:
This indicator helps traders to visually identify:
Early Trend Reversals: Intrabar analysis reveals momentum shifts potentially signaling reversals before they become obvious on conventional candles.
Momentum Continuations: Confidence is gained when all lines in the fan are clearly pointing in the same direction, indicating strong intrabar conviction.
Reduced False Signals: Traditional candlestick signals (e.g., hammer candles) sometimes produce false signals due to intrabar noise. By looking directly into intrabar dynamics, traders gain better context on whether candle patterns reflect genuine directional change or merely noise.
Important Requirements and Recommendations:
Subscription Requirements:
A TradingView subscription that supports sub-minute data (e.g., 1-second or 5-second resolution) is strongly recommended.
If your subscription doesn't include this data granularity, you must use a 1-minute lower timeframe, significantly reducing responsiveness. In this scenario, it's best suited for a 15-minute or higher chart, adjusting intervals to shorter periods.
Live Data Essential:
Real-time market data subscription is essential for the accuracy and effectiveness of this indicator.
Using delayed data reduces responsiveness and weakens the indicator's primary advantage.
Recommended Settings for Different Chart Timeframes:
1-minute chart: Use 1-second lower timeframe intervals (default intervals: 3, 5, 8, 13, 21).
5-minute chart: Adjust to a 5- or 10-second lower timeframe, possibly reducing intervals to shorter periods (e.g., 3, 5, 8, 10, 12).
15-minute or higher charts: Adjust lower timeframe to 1-minute if granular data is unavailable, with reduced interval lengths to maintain responsiveness.
Conclusion:
The Change of Character Fan empowers traders with early insight into directional shifts within each candle, significantly enhancing reaction speed, signal accuracy, and reducing dependency on multiple charts. Built on robust linear regression mathematics, it combines clarity, responsiveness, and ease-of-use in a powerful intrabar analysis tool.
Trade smarter, see sooner, and react faster.
