Game studio Vinci Games completes $5.1 million in seed round

Vinci Games, the studio behind the VR basketball game Blacktop Hoops, completed a $5.1 million seed round led by Makers Fund, followed by Y Combinator, Soma Capital, Pioneer Fund, Anorak Ventures, BonAngels, and Twitch co-founder Kevin Lin. Vinci Games was previously backed by Y Combinator and successfully completed a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign in September 2022, raising 60,000.
Funds raised this time will be used to develop Blacktop Hoops, which is currently available for purchase on Quest 2 through Quest's App Lab distribution channel and on Steam for PC VR headsets.
