ETHereum !!SELL ALARM!!! Today is your lucky day

POLONIEX:ETHBTC   以太坊 / 比特幣
Have you got any ETH still here and there,
bought for $0.5 each?

Think harder! They are well above $200 now!

Foundamentally Ethereum             is an interesting competitior.
And most popularily representing smart contracts.
And there is a personal figure and a foundation supporting the original Ethereum             , which is an interesting contrast to bitcoin's annoymous founder

But:
1. it is by far not the only solution for smart contract programming.
2. there are many times more ETH than BTC             on the long term
- so the current price would make Ethereum's market cap worth more than Bitcoin             already soon.
That is not sustainable yet.

3. Ethereum             would need to prove a lot still and for years, before overtaking bitcoin             sustainably!
But it may not, because nice extra features are also "unecesssary code", when you only need a currency.
(And there will be several more, very serious competitiors. )

4. Ethereum             contracts may also run with bitcoin             through different projects / bitcoin             sidechain: http://www.rsk.co/

5. Of course Both keep improving.
Ethereum             even seemed to catch up in 2015.

But bitcoin             still has more developer attention constantly.
And now the amount of contributors / contributions keeps growing for bitcoin             (unlike most other other cryptocurrencies )
https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/graphs/contributors (growing)
VS. https://github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/graphs/contributors (shrinking, looking almost inactive)

6. Not everyone understands/wants smart contracts.
Some smart contracts may come in handy for many people in future, but not everyone will understand or appreciate their power.
The pargidm shift (that you dont need many third parties / trustees basically who take extra fees. ) maybe a bit harder to understand than bitcoin             and to imagine benefit

7. While for the following years the next broad practical milestone for the Crypotnomy (Crypto Economy) would simply be to reach up to the size of paypal, one day. And thus also, maybe life up to the size of the current bubble, allowing a next bubble/new dreams...

評論: double top. sell while you can.
at bitcoin's next small jump in price, this may already have been dumped
評論: dump candle happend.

hope i could tell this a 1000 more people so that the right people would make the profit :(
評論: 8. **The mining cost for ethereum is about 7%!** (ww.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency)
Miner supply push the price down a lot over time up to back to ~0.00x
(just not during bubble peaks!)

(while the mining costs for bitcoin is near 65%, a giant drop wont happend.)

(as said price by total market cap to be mined right now: Much more than bitcoin.... I doubt many of the people who bought a leveraged long did think about it )

評論: i guess this is to creep some people and also robots, out so that they wont sell the most before 0.12. so that the manipulators can sell a lot now at 0.103 and also buy a lot at 0.015 or something, when will not dare still?
評論: most importantly take a look here. it will be back at production costs
評論: Another pump and dump manipulation debunked!?

it was timed for the ongoing dump:

2 minutes later the comment,
3 minutes later another post by the same selfdescribed newbie, (including dark background, rocket and everything that i didnt care about for my first post.....)

Why dont you mention segwit will eventually activate and fix all of bitcoins issues and that bitcoin sees the most developer activity by far and for long. And rootstock rsk.co could make ethereum obsolete.

Rising Wedge Reversal:

screams "stupid"!

Lets not be "sheeple" like the advertisment suggests.
There will be many time times more ETH than BTC... ,while bitcoin was meant to be deflationary...
評論:
評論: just to rephrase the fact (above),
that ethereum mining costs only near $15
(almost 1900% profit margin now, compared to bitcoin only ~50%, even at current prices) and that price will also be much nearer to $15 again:
Miners have choice and care about their coins/networks. They represent the true calm future value/price bottom. The growth is a continues trend line , much rather linar (than parabolic or anything) just like the real growth of amount of transactions. (Some miners who rush into Ethereum temporarily onlyfor the extra profit may switch over to the next profitable coin again, once ethereum calms down and prices match up again. But others stay mining what they like on a long term, with a modest profit margin and cant be bothered by bubbles just staying for some days. )
Sell alarm my butt XD.

After reading your analysis it behooved me to point out some serious misconceptions and flawed logic in critical detail.

1. it is by far not the only solution for smart contract programming.

Response: Could you please share some examples of the other solutions that compete with Ethereum in this particular space?

2. there are many times more ETH than BTC on the long term
- so the current price would make Ethereum's market cap worth more than Bitcoin already soon.
That is not sustainable yet.

-Response: Market Capitalization is determined by supply and demand forces and overall public interest. They're determined by the MARKET. So what you're saying just because Ethereum has 92 million tokens in circulation and Bitcoin with 16million, the price of Ethereum is not sustainable?? What kind of assinine logic is this? For the record, the rate at which new Ether units are to be introduced into circulation will progressively become asymptotic over time similarly as there is a hard 21 million coin cap coded into the bitcoin protocol.

MARKETCAP = Circulating Supply (created by miners) x Current Market Price (determined by market forces)

Ethereum Market cap = $21.7 Billion = $236 price x 92 million circulating supply
Bitcoin Market cap = $41.4 Billion = $2528 price x 16 million circulating supply

3. Ethereum would need to prove a lot still and for years, before overtaking bitcoin sustainably!
But it may not, because nice extra features are also "unecesssary code", when you only need a currency.
(And there will be several more, very serious competitiors.

RESPONSE: There's a good probability that Ethereum could easily reach $450 USD before we know it surpassing Bitcoin's market cap. I wouldn't be surprised if that happened this year or next. Ethereum was created in 2015 and is already HALF of Bitcoin's market cap today 6/4/2017. Bitcoin was created in 2009. Think about that. It only took 2 years for Ethereum to amass 21.7 billion in valuation (which is twice the growth rate that of Bitcoin's)
With huge public interest coming into Bitcoin, transaction times to validate payments are taking up to 3 days to settle. If you actually used bitcoin you would know this! So until they activate Segwit, people's confidence in the currency will continue to deteriorate. Hopefully, they'll do this soon. Ethereum does not have this issue at all and its trading volume has already surpassed Bitcoins without any scaling issues whatsoever.

6. Not everyone understands/wants smart contracts.
Some smart contracts may come in handy for many people in future, but not everyone will understand or appreciate their power.

RESPONSE. You really believe the absence of the of the AVERAGE investor who has around 10k or 20k at most to invest in Ethereum will keep the price from going any higher? The mainstream investor and pragmatists still have their money sitting in the stock market or on the sidelines. Despite this being the case Ethereum has exploded at a much faster rate than Bitcoin.

But how? Because banks like JPMorgan with 1.2 trillion assets under management, Oil conglomerate BP, Software giant Intel, Pharmaceutical behemoth Merck, and many many more are taking an interest into the Ethereum blockchain and are hiring programmers internally to work on their individual infrastructure projects.

AND WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY UNNECESSARY CODE - WHEN YOU ONLY NEED A CURRENCY?!?

Ethereum was NEVER intended to be a currency, but rather a commodity unit to gain access and allow the execution of customized decentralized applications on the Ethereum network.

Ethereum EXPANDS the concept of blockchain BEYOND currency in the sense that Financial institutions can now utilize a global network of computers for computing power to execute stock trades, drastically speed up the settlement times of various investment securities, etc. Pharmaceutical and Energy companies can facilitate autonomous supply change management with greater oversight, less friction, and immune to third party interference, fraud, corruption, and simple human error. Anyone participating in the network who shares such information with other members can further transact with each other with greater trust and legitimacy since it will all be on the immutable ledger of the Blockchain. The cost reduction in operating and overhead expenses when this technology is implemented staggering and can easily exceed 1000x fold its own market cap today.

Maybe you can't wrap your head around all this? Is it too complex for most to understand? I'd say so.

Like I said you can continue to bury your face in colorful charts and scribble within them like a kindergartener but not a single charting method of analyzing price action for the past week or month says absolutely anything meaningful of what's behind Ethereum's technology and potential. What you're looking at is other day traders speculating in and out and know little about the technology itself and treat this as a currency when in fact it isn't a currency at all!!! And echo base chamber of NOISE and very little wisdom.

ETH is poised to go much much higher in the LONG RUN even after some profit taking. Good luck with your short!!!

@pisces38, still there are many times more tokens... you cant simple compare the price per piece. (which is what some pumpers suggestes)

@fineregex,
3. Bitcoin "scalability issues is only dirty politics" not necessary. My point was bitcoin code is proven, aged. There are many times more working hours in it and voluntarily. Something that no other crypto currency did reach up to including ethereum. The number of daily contributions is still leading by far. Even though the need to fix bugs may have decreased much more already.

@fineregex, again when i said "exceed 1000x fold its own market cap today" MARKET CAP!!! not individual token price. I'm comparing the potential cost savings to corporations can be exceedingly far greater 21 billion a year. maybe a thousand times that number. But I feel like I'm talking to a child with an child or an adult who has an IQ in the double digits

@fineregex, when did I say that? I'm comparing overall market valuation between the two and the rate in which they got where they are today. I even laid out math which is 3rd-grade arithmetic. Did you even read anything I said or is your low IQ incapable of understanding any of it??

@fingergex Advanced issues like what? Do you have any experiencing programming in Java? do you work at Fortune 100 company and know the intricacies and bureaucracies that exist in a corporation? Are you aware that staffing employees in compliance and audit, supply chain management, administration, and cleaning up mistakes due to human error is much more costly to an exponential extent than it is to hire a programmer to complete an infrastructure project for automation? of course not.
