Natural Gas Futures – Weekly Report:
Natural gas has continued its fall this week seeing prices down over -2% on the backs of further storage builds. Further pressure has been added onto natural gas pricing in recent months as warmer than expected winters have been seen seeing temperatures higher across most of the northern parts of the United States which in turn decreasing demand.
Natural Gas has been one of the worst performing commodities in recent months as prices fell from highs of $2.80 down to below $2 at $1.841 as of Fridays market close. Looking now at the year to date, prices are down more than -15% because of the above-mentioned reasons.
Natural Gas Storage numbers for the week show a further cut down 201 billion cubic feet.
