Bitcoin just had what I could call a correction with a drastic price drop. This made the Vertcoin price dropped to what I think it's a bargain price relative the to the $8 range that the floor was being built. I think that once the markets recover from that btc price swing, vertcoin will eventually get back to the $8 floor.
