XAUUSD - World gold price fluctuates in a narrow range
World gold price this morning on August 25 was stable at 1917 USD/ounce, slightly increased by 1.6 USD. Gold futures in December last traded at $1,944.3 per ounce, down $2.8, so it closed today.
The world gold market this morning fluctuated in a contraction band, should not react much to the better-than-expected US labor market data released last night.
Specifically, the US Department of Labor's report continues to find the strength of the US labor market with the number of weekly jobless claims fell by 10,000 from the previous week to 230,000. Positive jobs data helped the dollar soar. The USD-Index rose to 104.19 points at 9:30 am this morning, up 0.2% so it closed the previous day.
Although the "greenback" increased strongly, the gold price remained stable, only correcting in contraction mode.
