China's manufacturing activity displayed slight growth in December, but the services and construction sectors showed signs of recovery. This suggests that policy stimulus measures are starting to influence specific areas of the economy as China braces for potential trade challenges arising from tariffs proposed by US President-elect Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, according to Reuters, Russia carried out a drone attack on Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, early on New Year's Day. The strike caused two fatalities, left at least six individuals injured, and damaged buildings across two districts. Explosions reverberated through the morning air as Ukraine's air force issued alerts about incoming drones.

After a good increase in price reaching 2660, gold price is showing signs of adjustment according to FIBO, target area 2638. The uptrend has temporarily cooled down.
