Gold update NFP 05.05.23
Today is NFP, so gold is likely to consolidate around the central pivot. My expectation is that gold will continue to rise.
A few days ago we had ADP employment. Some people say that NFP can be predicted based on ADP employment. In fact, most of the time the two readings are negatively correlated.
The latest ADP reading was inflationary and gold fell 100 pips before continuing to rise.
The latest reading on job creation shows that fewer new jobs are being created.
Based on the current economy and the recent weakening of the labour market, I expect a deflationary reading, which will push gold higher, probably to new all-time highs.
Not to mention the liquidity at 2070. Gold has formed a triple top, which is probably the current target of the banks.
1) if NFP is lower than previous time (deflationary) - buy Gold
2) if NFP is higher than previous time (inflationary) - sell Gold
3) if no significant change - wait for the initial reaction
