VitaDAO, a decentralized organization for life science research supported by the founder of Ethereum "V God", announced on Twitter that it is voting to decide whether to create a for-profit company to secure and distribute funds for longevity research. The company, which will be named VitaTech and operate as a subsidiary/affiliate of VitaDAO, will use public funding to license longevity technologies developed at US universities and support their continued development. In addition to V God, Justin Sun, the founder of TRON, also strongly supported the development of VitaDAO before.
In January of this year, VitaDAO announced the completion of US$4.1 million in financing. The financing parties included Balaji Srinivasan, the former chief technology officer of Coinbase, and Pfizer Ventures, the investment arm of Pfizer, the world's largest pharmaceutical company. This is also Pfizer's first investment in the Web3 field. VitaDAO said it will use the funds to further fund longevity research projects and biotech startups that will be spun off from the DAO next year
