Is the market on a verge of craziness

I live in one of the emerging market country and the market was wrecked today in the Asian trading session. In my opinion, even how well the news tell you about the world, but, of course, always have a risk management policy to counteract this sort of event. I'm suspecting that the US market is on a verge of the same consequence and because of that I think betting on VIX right now is not such a bad idea. Technically speaking, indicators and its price movement are suggesting so as well. So, here I am recommending Longing VIX.

I hate to see it goes up even though I'm gaining a profit because that means stocks are not performing very well.

I believe it's a good time to stop hedging my portfolio with VIX now and get back into the game. The market is likely to pause its downward pressure since the decision on tax reform should be out by today - I'm betting that it will pass.
