Bitcoin - Boring Market! How to Trade?

Without any news, Bitcoin market becomes boring, sometimes too boring for watching and following. The short term spikes up and down, which can be used by trading in some cases only, are changed by sideways movements. These movements don't provide exciting trading opportunities with good profits, and it's better to use them mainly for scalping. But scalping is not good for novice traders/crypto enthusiasts.

So, we have a logical question - what to do in such market conditions?
Here are my variants:

1. Bitcoin is good for long term trading now. The market dropped a lot, reached the possible bottom, and it will be logical to invest in this market with far profit targets. This type of trading also will allow avoiding manipulated movements which are in lower timeframes and which don't allow to realize the power of TA and its tools. The long term trading will be good for novice traders and investors who don't want to waste time watching for useless, short term movements. Buy and Hold - a simple strategy and sometimes a very profitable strategy.

2. Bitcoin can be used for medium-term trading also. But there are a lot of chances to catch a strange movement which will close a proper trade. Such type of trading needs at least a good knowledge basis and experience. Trades can be opened based on the reversal signals from key lines and levels, or based on volatility breakouts in some cases (not always because sometimes strange movements are based on 1-2 huge candles).

3. Short term trading based on the timeframes lower than 1H or using the hourly charts with quick entries and exits. This type of trading needs a very good knowledge basis and a lot of experience. Because any mistake can leave you without profit or give a huge loss. The lower timeframes can be used for trading in the channels if they are not so narrow. There is a good strategy to use breakouts from these channels. Also trading on lower timeframes can give you a good chance to catch a manipulated movement and you will be lucky if it is in your direction.

4. Scalping type of trading, it's the best way to blow up the capital. Useless type of trading for a trader but a very good strategy for a robot.

5. The best way to work with such boring markets, to use long/medium term trades and focus on other markets too. Forex, Stocks, Commodities provide interesting trading opportunities every day. They are good for algo trading (trading using robots), some of them are amazing for manual trading. The main thing is, they will allow you to get the proper experience. They will help you to get a better understanding of how markets can move and how you can get benefits from their movements. Trading in different markets will allow you to enlarge your knowledge and become a more experienced trader.
