Key Performance IndicatorWe are happy to introduce the Key Performance Indicator by Detlev Matthes. This is an amazing tool to quantify the efficiency of a trading system and identify potential spots of improvement.
Abstract
A key performance indicator with high explanatory value for the quality of trading systems is introduced. Quality is expressed as an indicator and comprises the individual values of qualitative aspects. The work developing the KPI was submitted for the 2017 VTAD Award and won first prize.
Introduction
Imagine that you have a variety of stock trading systems from which to select. During backtesting, each trading system will deliver different results with regard to its indicators (depending on, inter alia, its parameters and the stock used). You will also get different forms of progression for profit development. It requires great experience to select the “best” trading system from this variety of information (provided by several indicators) and significantly varying equity progression forms. In this paper, an indicator will be introduced that expresses the quality of a trading system in just one figure. With such an indicator, you can view the results of one backtest at a glance and also more easily compare a variety of backtesting results with one another.
If you are interested in learning more about the calculations behind this indicator then I have included a link to the english version of his research paper.
Along with this, we now offer indicator development services. If you are interested in learning more then feel free to reach out to get a quote for your project.
**Please note that we have NOT inputted any real strategy into the code and therefore it is not producing any real value. Feel free to change the code as desired to test any strategy!**

Strategy BackTest Display Statistics - TraderHalaiThis script was born out of my quest to be able to display strategy back test statistics on charts to allow for easier backtesting on devices that do not natively support backtest engine (such as mobile phones, when I am backtesting from away from my computer). There are already a few good ones on TradingView, but most / many are too complicated for my needs.
Found an excellent display backtest engine by 'The Art of Trading'. This script is a snippet of his hard work, with some very minor tweaks and changes. Much respect to the original author.
Full credit to the original author of this script. It can be found here: www.tradingview.com
I decided to modify the script by simplifying it down and make it easier to integrate into existing strategies, using simple copy and paste, by relying on existing tradingview strategy backtester inputs. I have also added 3 additional performance metrics:
- Max Run Up
- Average Win per trade
- Average Loss per trade
As this is a work in progress, I will look to add in more performance metrics in future, as I further develop this script.
Feel free to use this display panel in your scripts and strategies.
Thanks and enjoy :)
Gotobi TeriyakiUSDJPY Anomaly.
This anomaly originated in Japan.
Buy from 2:00 pm Japan time.
Sell at 9:55 Japan time.
Japanese importers often settle payments to suppliers in dollars, and exchange yen for dollars on settlement days (days falling on a 5 or 10, so-called goto days).
Therefore, on goto days, there is sometimes a shortage of dollars held by financial institutions. This is called the "middle price shortage," and financial institutions purchase dollars through the foreign exchange market to resolve the middle price shortage.
As a result, the dollar currency is bought and USD/JPY depreciates against the yen. Since the yen has historically appreciated against the dollar, exporting companies make forward exchange contracts with financial institutions as a risk hedge.
Financial institutions are therefore forced to procure dollars in the market because they do not have enough dollars in their balance sheets to deliver to exporters.
Five days is called "GO" in Japanese.
Ten days is called "TO" in Japanese.
In Japanese, a day is called "BI".
Now I can eat teriyaki all day long :)

Strategy Multiple Orders + Statistics Template - EducationalHello traders
It's been a while
We're back in a bear market so I have a bit more time to publish new Pine scripts for the TradingView community
Special thanks to @fikira for his Multiple Orders script () and to @carnagecain for allowing me to publish this script we worked together on
I got widely inspired by @fikira's script for that one
This script is for educational purposes only - I wanted to show how we can add multiple TPs/SL + a table with custom statistics
In this Strategy template, users can define multiple take-profit and multiple stop-loss levels.
Basically, we have 4 trades per trend and each trade has its own SL/TP
Statistics
Stats are split per trade direction (Long, Short) and then consolidated
I put custom stats in that table such as:
- Probability of Win
- Probability of Loss
- Avg Profit/Loss per Trade
- APPT: (Probability of Win * Average Gross Profit) - (Probability of Loss * Average Loss)
- Number of times each TP/SL has been hit
I'm catching up with all recent pinescript features as we speak - more educational scripts template to come soon
Best Regards
Dave
trading YM based on pair tradingThis is inspired by some online free webinars. Didn't pay for the strategy/ course. I just figured it out myself. So there might be problem with this strategy.
Theory: It is based on something called cointegrated. Cointegration means the difference between 2 securities are stable in long term. When the difference is bigger / smaller than normal, then there is space to make profit. You can use some tests to check if they are cointegration. I don't think YM and NQ are strictly cointegrated. I used other platform to test the cointegration. They are not cointegrated. There are multiple ways to do pair trading. I use "Y = A - B * (A /B)" to do this. The back test on tradingview can only trade one security. This is not pair trading in this backtest. But only do long and short based on the theory of pair trading. The max drawdown is huge. You should be careful before doing anything with this strategy.
Welcome to give some advice on improvement.
GRID SPOT TRADING ALGORITHM - GRID BOT TRADING STRATEGYGRID SPOT TRADING ALGORITHM : LONG ONLY STRATEGY OPEN SOURCE
This is a long only strategy for spot assets.
HOW IT WORKS
Grid trading is a trading strategy where an investor creates a so-called "price grid". The basic idea of the strategy is to repeatedly buy at the pre-specified price and then wait for the price to rise above that level and then sell the position (and vice versa with shorting or hedging).
FEATURES
Grids: This algorithm has a total of 10 grids.
Take profit: The trader can increase or decrease the distance between the grids from the User Interface panel, the distance between one grid and another represents the take profit.
Management: The algorithm buys 10% of the capital every time the price breaks down a grid and sells during a rise to the next higher grid. The initial capital is invested in 10 sizes which represent 10% of the capital per trade.
Stop Loss: The algorithm knows no stop loss as long as it is not activated from the User Interface panel. By activating the stop loss from the User Interface panel the algorithm will insert a close condition on all trades which will be calculated from the last lower grid.
Trades: Trades are opened only if the price is within the grid. If the market leaves the grid the algorithm will not buy new positions or sell new positions.
Optimal market conditions: The favorable market for this algorithm is the sideways market.
LIMITATIONS OF THE MODEL
The trader must take into account that this is a static model. It only works perfectly well if the market is in a sideways phase and incurs heavy losses if the market takes a downward trend. The model is unusable for an uptrend. The trader must therefore carefully analyze the market where he intends to use this strategy, making sure that the price is in a sideways phase.
USES
Indispensable research and backtesting tool for those using bots for their investments. The algorithm produces a backtesting of the strategy for past history. It is used by professional traders to understand if this strategy has been profitable on a market and what parameters to use for bots using this strategy (Kucoin, Binance etc.).

CoinFlip Indicator + StrategyFlip a coin every Monday.
Heads, go long. Tail, go short. Stoploss at 1 ATR, and Take profit at 1 ATR too. 1:1 risk to reward ratio.
After backtesting 2018, 2019, and 2020 with 28 major currency pairs. We are getting close to a 50% win rate with an 8% standard deviation.
Believe it or not, this simple performs better than lots of the popular indicators out there.
Don't believe me? Test it out yourself!!
Use this as a baseline for your backtest and expose all your other crappy indicators :)
HOW TO USE:
As an indicator:
1. Use a daily chart
2. Green arrow below chart, go long, set a stop-loss at 1 x ATR, and take profit at 1 x ATR
3. Red arrow above chart, go short, set a stop-loss at 1 x ATR, and take profit at 1 x ATR
As an indicator:
1. In setting, set a year to test (default to 2020)
2. Go to the strategy tester and observe the stats
P.s. You can also set the period of the ATR to another value other than 14 periods.
Loft Strategy V4This strategy is an advanced version of the Loft Strategy V1, I shared earlier. (Loft Strategy V1 consists of a kalman filter (by alexgrover ) and a "stop and reverse" line which is following and the kalman filter. If the price goes in the same direction as the position side, the "stop and reverse" line approaches the kalman filter as set on the "Approach Decrease Step" parameter.)
In addition to the previous version, it includes a martingale like deviation and multiple take-profit.
Here it is some parameters definitions of the strategy:
Kalman Filter: The higher this parameter, the faster and more aggressive the filter. Otherwise the filter goes very smoothly
Beginning Approach: First approximation as a percentage of stop-n-reverse line
Final Approach: Minimum approximation of stop-n-reverse line
Approach Decrease Step: If the price moves in the same direction as the strategy, the approach percentage is reduced by this parameter. Otherwise nothing do
Base Order Quantity: Initial capital of position
Max Safe Order Attempt: This parameter determines the maximum number of times the strategy will raise the bet after losing in a row.
Safe Order Deviation: if the last trade is loss, multiply the bet by this parameter (aka. martingale factor)
Profit Deviation: if last trade in loss, multiply the take-profit points
Max Order Quantity: Maximum capital allowed for a position
TP1, TP2, TP3 : Take profit spots in percentage
QT1, QT2, QT3: Amount of take-profit spots
Stop Loss: Maximum stop loss allowed for a trade
Long Entry, Short Entry: Only long side, only short side or both side
Safe Stop After TP2: If the price reaches the TP2 point, move the stop-loss point to the entry price.
Safe Stop After TP1: If the price reaches TP1, move the stop-loss point to the stop-n-reverse line.
Co-relation and St-deviation Strategy - BNB/USDT 15minThis indicator based on statistical analysis. it uses standard deviation and its co-relation to price action to generate signals. and following indicators has been used to calculate standard deviation and its co-relation values. finally it is capable to identify market changes in bottoms to pic most suitable points.

Compound Indicator Strategy - BTC/USDT 3hThis is an Strategy finds and utilise end points of short term market trends and this is a combination of many indicators such as
1. Volume change oscillator
2. Money flow index ( MFI )
3. Momentum Oscillator (MOM)
4. Stochastic Indicator
6. Relative Strength Indicator ( RSI )
7. Relative volatility index (RVI)
8. Balance of power (BOP)
9. Small moving average ( SMA )
10. Exponential moving average ( EMA )
11. Parabolic SAR
12. Super trend indicator
this script forms a compound indicator after analysing movements of those indicators through different time frames and measure its co-relation and variance with the price action. buy doing that, indicator in a position to identify short term market reversals and presented.
after generating a common indicator, it evaluates standard deviation and standard variance with currant market price action and generates a buy and sell signals. you can determine your own trading method based on available options.
